Cypress Grill is tucked inside Harding Park’s golf course, overlooking the serene Lake Merced. The views are stunning—majestic cypress trees and the calm shimmer of the lake make for a peaceful dining experience.

Breakfast portions are generous, pricing is fair, and the staff? Exceptionally friendly and efficient. It’s rare to find a quiet spot like this where you can truly unwind while enjoying good food and great service.

Afterward, I took a leisurely stroll along the nearby path, passing vibrant yellow night primrose, lush gardens, and spotting plenty of birds along the way. It was truly relaxing—magical, even. This place has quickly become one of my new favorite hidden gems.

We stopped here for lunch after walking around Lake Merced. We had our dog and sat at the outdoor seating. The waitress seemed ambivalent about serving us so we just ordered from the grab and go window.

Prepackaged sandwiches and wraps were fine.

Nice lake views and we came while they were doing dragon boat racing, a nice bonus.

The food was just ok although the service was good and the views from our table of the golfers finishing their rounds fantastic. Overall the food did not match the atmosphere however.

We sat in the bar because all the window seats on the golf course for taken. The bar was very nice and private and service was very good. The food is consistently very good but not over the top

The setting is very nice - you get to see the golf course from the huge windows. The food is not bad either and it opens to public. Highly recommend it!

I have been eating there but lately the food quality has gone down. My friend had the corned beef and I had the meatball and they are dry and almost taste less. I am not sure what happens there but I am a bit disapointed and hope this will help them to improve

Parking: on city golf course and plenty of parking

On our trek back to the parking lot after a 4.8 mile lap around Lake Merced, we cut through the golf course and Cypress Grill is our pit stop to catch our breath for a sec...and also enjoy a quick snack and drink because why not : ) Was craving a good Bloody Mary. Unfortunately, it was just ok, not very well balanced and just missing something extra to make it memorable. I'm still on the hunt for something that will rival the BM at The Ramp. The search continues. How about a snack? We tried the hot dog from the window outside which had them spinning on little rotisseries--always a good sign. And we were right, the hot dog here ROCKS. Cooked to perfection since it's been spending its sweet time sizzling on the spit. Bun was also great, soft but not soggy.

Amazing choices for both breakfast and lunch. The pancakes are especially fluffy and delicious in ways I haven’t seen replicated elsewhere. The views are also nice, highly recommend checking this place out!

I went here on a weekday morning and it wasn't too crowded. I was greeted promptly and told to sit wherever I wanted. Of course, I chose a table by the window overlooking the lake. Right away, a friendly server came over and took my order. I got the presidential breakfast. It was delicious and a lot of food. I still had pancake and bacon left over for days! This is a great place to go for a relaxing breakfast with good service and great views. Plenty of parking in the large parking lot and the price was reasonable too.

Parking: There were a lot of cars in the lot as it was a Friday morning, but I was able to find a space without too much trouble. Most of those people must have been there for the golfing because the restaurant only had a few people in it.
