Delicious bagels. Tried the raisin, everything, onion and the Asiago & Serrano. They were all on point and perfect.

Amazing coffee, great bagels, and the hand whipped cream cheese is killer

Their bread is good (cracker thing is interesting) but not worth the effort since they skimp on the final assembly of the sandwich.

Really lazy, not worth coming back, I can get all this stuff at whole foods and make the same thing at home.

You want a good bagel shop? Look up knickerbockers bagel

Ordered a dozen rainbow Pride bagels and they were a hit at our Pride brunch! So soft and delicious and I can’t wait to go back! Thank you Dago Bagel!

Debuted at the end of the pandemic in response to an ethnic slur Dago Bagel from Tony Gemignani is one of three concepts inhabiting 728 Vallejo Street, and from Thursday through Sunday beginning at 08:00am guests are welcome to enjoy everything from true New York Style Bagels to housemade loaves and traditional Italian Pastries made with skill and love.

A change of pace for the lauded Pizza maker, a man whose name is nearly-synonymous with North Beach, it is inside the shop that acts as both Bakery and storefront that guests will meet well trained staff and pleasant servers more than willing to discuss products and production at length.

Beginning with Bagels, developed in conjunction with Adam Sachs, Dago’s collection spans from Pride to Everything and from stretchy skin to a dense interior with good chew the “best” is a matter of personal opinion whether toasted with Cream Cheese or plain.

Liberally using Malt and a Cuppone Panettone deck oven imported from Italy, plus stone-ground Flour made on-site, visitors attention is next drawn to Toscano Brothers including “Gold Standard” Baguettes and Organic Sourdough Ace Pagnotta incorporating Spelt, Rosemary and Olives into a 40 year old Sourdough starter.

Trending sweet from here, a Sour Cherry and Chocolate Batard souring local produce and TCHO Chocolate, Tony’s “Piattina” cuts a wide swath of textures and flavors before Antonio’s Italians Pastries rounds things out with classic Rainbow Cookies and world-class Lemon Ricotta Cake plus silky Budino hidden alongside Prosciutto and Mortadella in the cold case.

The displays of their bread are so enticing , especially their baguettes;
But their extortionist prices don’t keep me away from ordering a coffee;
Lovely poster when you enter , and the green paint everywhere gives this place its character . But It’s a not a place to linger .

So my boy and I were dying for a good bagel so I see all the excellent reviews on this place we drive thru hella traffic to get there thinking bomb bagel coming we finally get there I run in and the lady says they are closing soon so she won’t toast my bagel for me ( the whole point of a bagel) but like it’s a favor she’d slice it yet she didn’t even care to give me a knife or put the cream cheese on .this lady is a bummer of a bagel for us thx for the out of the way service u should just close the store so people don’t waste their time expecting god forbid that u toast their bagel and can go get something where people caretodo their job opening hours and just to be nice and not lazy in this crazy world

They only have salmon bagels. They don't have egg bagels btw, so the options are very limited. If you buy the salmon set, you have to make your own bagel. I don't like setting it up myself, but it is interesting if you want to save money because the salmon set comes with enough food to make 2 or even 3 bagels. I must say that I read a review here saying it was the BEST bagel they ever had, so my expectations were high and I found it to be just a regular bagel shop. If you are already in the area, it might be worth visiting, otherwise, not

I went by at 1:15pm, and the door had the closed sign although there were atleast 4-5 employees in the shop. I was curious so I asked the employee and they refused to sell as the cashier was on break. One guy came out just to say the cashier needs a break - well yes they should get a break but what kind of service is this where you don’t have coverage even though there are 5 other employees in a tiny store? Did not expect this from the Tony brand name. Really disappointed as the shop is supposed to open from 8am - 3pm.

Run don’t walk here! Everything we had was amazing. my favorite was the Detroit style bagel (see pics). Cute hole-in-the-wall spot in a clean and safe neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Charming little shop; decent bagels; generous portion of salmon in the smoked salmon bagel. I’d def come back

They don’t even put the cream cheese on for you. Not that I’m lazy, just surprised that in 2023 in San Francisco that they’ll throw away a ton of plastic (plastic knife and plastic cream cheese container) instead of taking a second to put the cream cheese on for you.

Fresh bread and bagels. Definitely should give it a try. Everything is baked fresh daily.
