Staff is super friendly and the food was hot and fresh! Out of 3 days in SF this was the place my family said they enjoyed the most. The combination fried rice was very good!

After getting a dipstick realignment at the Oriental Palace of Eastern Joys, I walked up Taylor street to one of the best Cafés in the city ...That's right Pilgrim ..Darren's Café!
It truly is a special place, honest to goodness food made fresh to order with only the freshest of ingredients. Today's sandwich was simplisticly amazing to say the least, the flavors melted together perfectly! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

One of the few genuinely great spots in the wharf. The pho makes it a gem

Great food, fast service, good prices. Orange juice was fresh and the egg scramble was very tasty. Large portions. It is a little loud, but that is the wharf.

This place is small but packs big flavor and value into their filling breakfast. When it comes to eggs for breakfast I am very hard to please. They have to be just the right amount of firmness and the toast browned right. David hit on all points. Eat here, you won’t regret it.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to hands down! Food was delicious (the potatoes are the best I’ve ever had) and came out super fast, portions were huge, but hands down best part was our waitress Kaylee. She was super patient, incredibly helpful and treated us so well it really was the cherry on top to our dining experience! The inside was cute (although the tables are a bit small, so if you’re sharing it might be a smidge tight). Only thing is there’s only street parking but it’s definitely worth stopping by!

We followed reviews and find this gem right around the corner from the kimpton. Food was excellent. My friend thought the country potatoes were perfection. I definitely liked them and the corned beef hash that I got. They had terrific covered outdoor seating for our cat and dog. The very kind waitress seated is at a table off to the side and turned on the heater lamp for us. Service was outstanding, friendly and responsive to our needs!

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a classic, good-quality breakfast in San Francisco.
We had breakfast at Darren’s Cafe and really enjoyed it. We ordered three different breakfasts: hashbrowns, a bagel with egg and bacon, toast, and an English muffin.
The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and tasty, and they offer coffee refills, which is always a plus.
Definitely a great spot for breakfast in San Francisco.
