This cafe is a great place to grab breakfast. The service was great..the food was cooked perfectly. It is so hard to get a great breakfast out when traveling. I highly recommend. I had fried eggs hash browns that were perfection.. fruit that was fresh and a nice variety, sourdough toast that was perfect.

We were searching for a breakfast/brunch location and saw Darren's down the road and decided they had what we wanted to eat. The food was really good especially the blueberry pancake. The service was on point as well.

SHOCKING RUDE STAFF I ASKED TO SIT AT A BIGGER TABLE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS OK BUT I HAVE TO ORDER FOR 6 PEOPLE!!! THEN I ASKED FOR A FRIED EGG SANDWICH AND PRACTICALLY BEGGED THEN TO PUT HASH BROWN INSIDE WHEN IT CAME OUT WAS THE TINIEST OF SANDWICHES HIGHLY PROCESSED WHITE BREAD ROLL LOW QUALITY PRODUCTS AND $13 FOR A TINY SANDWICH. THESE PEOPLE ARE DISRESPECTFUL AND NO BETTER THEN THIEVES DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE

No frills laid back little diner. Breakfast has something for everyone. If you come during lunch or dinner, they seem to have like a Pan, Asian and American menu (Lots of Vietnamese options). I had the bay area omelette, which had shrimp, spinach mushrooms. It was wonderful most of the breakfast dishes come with hashbrowns and toast/English muffins. Good find. Good service and we’re very accommodating for kids. Very thoughtful to have plastic straw cups and utensils for the kids. Yeah Expect to pay SF/touristy prices but decent spot.

Kid-friendliness: They have plastic utensils and cups with straws for the kids. High chairs are available.

Came to SF for a concert. Found Darren's by accident. The breakfast was glorious. The country potatoes and sausage links were the best I've had. The dark roast coffee had enough kick to get me going. I thought maybe the first day was skewed just because I was so hungry. Spoiler alert - it was not. Came back a second time. If I didn't live across country, I would be back frequently. As it is, might take another vacation here just for an excuse to eat at Darren's.
