I can’t believe I never reviewed this restaurant. We eat here regularly at the restaurant and for takeout. The food is delicious for adults and for children. My son really loves the salmon teriyaki and the veggie sushi; I love their unique appetizers / tapas and their sushi. Reliable and one of the best restaurants in Castro and Noe.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly

Excellent food! Sake and beer selection quite extensive and the sevice very comfortable. My personal routine here is: Miso soup, 5 pcs. Omakase sashimi, Suntory draft, green tea cheesecake. Dinner perfection. For what it’s worth, Suntory Pilsner is by far my favorite beer of all times. Except for maybe Prague’s Branícka Desítka.

Dash is such a great addition to our Noe Valley neighborhood. The staff are so gracious. The menue is a wide range offering of all aspects of Japanese food not just sush. The food is perfectly prepared and presentation Is lovely. This is not a fancy but cozy restaurant. Just like one you would find in a Japanese neighborhood . The fish is so fresh. This will now be a go to restaurant for me.

We just had dinner at Dash, and boy do they live up to their name! Our delicious sushi, soup, gyoza and sashimi arrived quickly at our table. We very much enjoyed our Friday night feast. The miso soup was very flavorful, and my 49er roll had the most refreshing little slivers of lemon on top and my California roll was joyful. Very tasty. Our salmon sashimi was very fresh, and they gyoza were cooked to perfection and slightly crisped. We have been to Dash a number of times and always enjoy the ambiance and friendly waitstaff. We highly recommend.

I don’t know how this restaurant gets a 4.8 rating. The sushi rolls are small & pretty flavorless and the hamachi collar was super oily…..Very disappointing to say the least !

We've gotten takeout from here a few times and it's always excellent. Service is friendly, too, and they have unusual pieces. Try the salmon skin roll -- it's great! (We prefer it without shiso leaves.)

First time there. Our friends who live in the neighborhood recommended it. Sushi melts in your mouth, it's so fresh. Great menu with different options other than sushi. Would definitely come back.

I really wanted to like Dash-- but every aspect of it made me question why I'd been wanting to come here forever. This is a no photo review because I somehow was not motivated to take pictures. The restaurant is decently sized and is clean, with ample seating for larger groups. We were seated immediately and offered menus. The service however was so slow that it too them 20 mins to come back with water, an additional 10 to take our order, yet the food came out all at once -- I.e., the fried rice and unagi came out before the miso soup, and our appetisers came 20 mins after. It was disorienting. The food also did not taste flavorful or fresh. The fried rice was 100% burned, and the unagi was cooked to a crisp. The karaage, butter mushrooms, and crispy tuna rice were average at best, being either overcrowded, or soggy. The item that I did like was the salted edamame, but I cannot bring this to redeem everything else -- especially since it came to the table 45 mins into the meal.Dash, maybe something went wrong during our visit: which is fine. I would just expect more from a restaurant rated this highly. Overall was shocked and would not go out of my way to go back here.
