This is an absolute gem of a place. If you want that authentic diner feel with great food and great service then head over to David’s. Yes it may be a bit run down and yes it’s not in the greatest area of town but the food and the service are second to none. George was super friendly and attentive without ever actually interrupting us while having our breakfast. He answered all of our questions, he took time to have a chat with us and generally made us fell special.
I think they named it after me or was it the other way around I don't know but either way it was fun sharing some potato latkes and some challah bread and lox and other Jewish specialties with my family.
This place seems like a hidden gem. The oldschool counter was really fun to sit down and enjoy a solo morning in the city. The gentlemen working the breakfast counter were super sweet, and the vegan tofu scramble was bangin. Plus the prices were VERY affordable especially for this section of the city. Don’t miss David’s.
