I just had a very strange experience at this wine bar. I was the only customer and ordered a glass of wine and a snack plate. A white couple came in after me. I was asked to put my card on file right as my food was placed in front of me-before I even picked up my fork. The couple was not asked to put a card on file when they ordered wine. I found this odd, especially because I’m a woman of color and I’ve never been asked to prepay for any wine bar in San Francisco. Perhaps I’m overreacting, but i live in Washington D.C. and have never been asked to prepay. It was as if the proprietor assumed I would “drink and dash”, which is so wrong. Great wine, but the experience left me with a bad feeling.

the owners are absolutely awful people. generic atmosphere and the concept is nothing interesting. save your money and go elsewhere.

We popped in on the way back to our Airbnb. Wanted a bottle of Californian wine with a $25 budget. We went away with a White Heron. We are not big drinkers and a bottle would normally last two nights but not this one!

High price; poor quality. Not much choice; only snob value

What an incredible wine shop/bar!Simi and Cara are both elites in the somm world and are so helpful and knowledgeable choosing exactly what you might be looking for in terms of wine but also cheeses, tinned fish and anything you might need to put together a great charcuterie board at home.I've sent my partner there many a times and he simply just asks them and it's always perfect.I was most recently there for a wreath making class. Wine and wreath making: YES PLEASE! The class was great with Kim from Wyldflower Workshop who focuses her business on being sustainable and socially responsible! I love that.I also really love supporting women owned and progressive businesses.If you're looking for a great bottle or a glass to enjoy in shop, even charcuterie goods this will always be where you should come first!They offer regular classes, events, and even a club subscription with various benefits depending on the level you choose.

Dietary restrictions: always has gluten free crackers and very accommodating of me not being able to eat garlic or onion

Incredible woman-owned wine bar! Many wines to choose from and the staff gives you great recommendations when you tell them what you’re looking for. Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the wine recommendations and of course the vegan cheese, too. We’ll definitely come back and I’m so happy we have found this place. Also, thank you to the sommelier for giving us recommendations on places to visit in Napa and Sonoma! Cheers ?
