Absolutely loved this spot! Came by here for a university alumni event and had a blast. Lots of options for a person like me who indulges in NA drinks.

DecantSF transcends the typical wine shop experience, —it's a vibrant hub of inclusivity, education, and community right in San Francisco's core. As a woman-owned business, it exudes a refreshing sense of empowerment and inclusivity that sets it apart from the rest. Co-owners and Sommeliers Cara and Simi enrich every visit with their expertise, offering an accessible range of delightful wines and snacks tailored to any budget or palate. Moreover, their dedication to supporting fellow small businesses shines through, reflected in their vibrant lineup of engaging events hosted at the bar.

What an incredible wine shop/bar!Simi and Cara are both elites in the somm world and are so helpful and knowledgeable choosing exactly what you might be looking for in terms of wine but also cheeses, tinned fish and anything you might need to put together a great charcuterie board at home.I've sent my partner there many a times and he simply just asks them and it's always perfect.I was most recently there for a wreath making class. Wine and wreath making: YES PLEASE! The class was great with Kim from Wyldflower Workshop who focuses her business on being sustainable and socially responsible! I love that.I also really love supporting women owned and progressive businesses. If you're looking for a great bottle or a glass to enjoy in shop, even charcuterie goods this will always be where you should come first! They offer regular classes, events, and even a club subscription with various benefits depending on the level you choose.

Decant is hands down my favorite wine bar in the city and I was honored to be able to start my wedding celebrations with Simi and Cara. In addition to going there on the whim for a glass of wine or a bottle for a special occasion, my husband and I reserved Decant for a private event to kick off our wedding week and had the time of our lives. Our plan in coordination with Decant was to have an Indian themed celebration where we could have karaoke, Indian appetizers and a henna artist. We wanted to have an intimate rehearsal dinner to start the evening with family and open the night out to have our friends to join us. We had two different caterers to provide food for the rehearsal dinner and for the celebrations afterwards. The staff at Decant had everything moving so seamlessly that we didn't even realize the second order come in. Simi offered to help us pick wines and beverages to complement our food choices and we were not disappointed (as I mentioned, this is my favorite wine bar so we had complete trust in her selection). Cara helped manage the IT for the karaoke and it was a hit with our family and friends. The projection screen allowed us to make the lyrics available for everyone to see and we had everyone singing by the end of the night! They even cleared out space for a dance floor! We were able to have our henna artist in a corner and stationed where our friends and family were able to keep away from the dancing while it was drying. Everyone had a good time that night and could not stop talking about the hospitality and great ambiance that Decant provided for our celebration. I could not rave more about the quality of wine, service, and hospitality provided by our cozy, local wine bar.

Love the build your own board! Choose from a variety of cheeses and fishes to build a board for the size of your party! They all come with crackers, pickles and jam. Great wine selection and cool classes about cheese making and other topics to sign up for! Super friendly staff with great recommendations. Can't wait to go back.

For a wine bar I would expect the menu to have more wine to try, but I guess they need to compel you to buy a whole bottle off the wall somehow. Cheese plates are good with a wide variety of local offerings. Service is speedy. Ambiance is that of a wine store.

We really enjoyed the wine recommendations and of course the vegan cheese, too. We’ll definitely come back and I’m so happy we have found this place. Also, thank you to the sommelier for giving us recommendations on places to visit in Napa and Sonoma! Cheers ?

Friendly owners, inviting atmosphere, and an array of reasonably-priced tapas-bar goodies make this a definite candidate for favorite regular local haunt. Nice wine and cheese selection, and an even nicer and wider array of seafood and other treats from Spain, Canada, and other places around the world. Try it!Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs going down into the place. Didn't see any alternatives.

I had a great time here with coworkers. The atmosphere is really chill and the servers were extremely attentive. We asked the server to put together a charcuterie board for us and we really liked her choices on the cheese. Everyone enjoyed the wine by the glass options, however, it felt really limited. Next time I will likely just go with a bottle as that would give more flexibility in what we had a s a group. Beer selection wise, our lone beer drinker came back with a different craft beer each time and he enjoyed all of them. I will definitely come back.
