Best Samwhices in Sf. I love the BLT pesto instead of mustard and mayo. Add on all the fun extras at no charge. Olives, spinach, red onion, peprocinis jalepenos. Toasted Sourdough. Unbeatable BLT. Lovely Staff. Super freindly . Make you feel like family. Lots of snacks and beverages. The go to if you have to go to sf General.

I.eat here every now and then it’s near the hospital however I got the chicken sandwich. I did not like it. I thought it would be a chicken patty and I think it was like boiled chicken. It had no flavor to it so and the cheese was not melted all the way on my sandwich. I was not happy with it. But I’ve tried to feel the other sandwiches and they’re OK. I like their tuna. I won’t eat the chicken sandwich ever again though.

Deli 23 can take all my coins! The sandwich was filling and so delicious! The staff are friendly and respectful to their customers. They definitely get a lot of customers so it was crowded but I understand why. Would recommend again and again!

Great food and service. However, the hours on Saturday are not correct. They are usually closed. It would be great if you guys were open on Saturdays because we need good coffee and somewhere else to eat from the hospital!

Deli, Located across from the General Hospital on San Bruno and 23 st. Good quality sandwich, speedy preparation with specialty coffee and a large selection of chips on a bag. Table and counter seating inside as well as a few tables if you want to eat outside. The sandwiches are prepared with your choice of bread and meats, good selection if you are vegetarian.Warm service.

Every other word out of the cashier's mouth was honey (I don't know about others, but I don't like being referred to as honey) & I had to repeat everything like twice. And when it asked for payment, and she saw I was paying by card...she hit the skip button on the tip screen, maybe she didn't want a tip...but the guy who made my sandwich might have appreciated one.
UPDATE: the beginning part was from 02/22/24. The following is for today.
Got the same lady as before, but I was hungry and needed to get to work. AGAIN had to repeat my order twice, and I pull out my card to pay...and AGAIN, she reaches over and taps the skip button where it asks if u want to leave a tip along with how much of a tip. And then it asks if I wanted a receipt and as I was reviewing my options, she hit something on her side and the receipt screen went away. Fast forward, I get to my office and pull out my sandwich...there's avocados on my sandwich. I specifically said, mayo lettuce tomato ONLY. I don't like avocados, I don't order avocados...why are they on my sandwiches???

No prices labeled for drinks in the fridge in the back. I like to see how much I m going to pay for the drinks. Not going to ask the price for every drink I am looking at….

I eat here at least twice a week. This spot is top notch. One of the best delis I have ever been too. The service is always friendly. The food quality is excellent. The inside is clean and has an excellent choice of beverages and snacks. Also serves as a mini convenience store with a limited selection of medicines. Good coffee. Good clam chowder. I would expect this place to cost 50% more than it does. Seems to have been unaffected by inflation. The woman will call you honey. Do not take offense she does this for everyone and I find it endearing.
