Had a great turkey sandwich today. The roll was perfect and delicious. The grilled chicken thigh was so delicious! I'll be back.

Ordered a Charlie Hustle and a Contractor. The bread on the Charlie Hustle was stale, which was a huge disappointment. The bread for the Contractor was much better but the sandwich needed mustard of something with additional acidity to help it all come together.

When your establishment is named Deli Man, you better excel at deli items. This little shop did not disappoint. Amazing sandwiches, amazing salads, and welcoming staff. The ambiance is corner store vibe, but the personalized quick service and decent pricing make it a must-visit. I look forward to returning when tri tip and other grill items return or sooner!

Highly highly recommend. First thing I ate in San Francisco and it’s already hard to see how any sandwich will be better. I got the Garden of Eatin. Us veggies are taken care of well here!!

Let me agree with the multitude of other high praise reviews and personally recommend this location and our man of the hour Charlie! 5-Star service, delicious food in a funky little joint. This is what I call a neighborhood "Pocket-Deli." This ain't no national chain stale bread and meat joint. Charlie rolls with "Boars Head" meats!! Fresh bread and toppin's.We had driven down from Reno to "City College" for a basketball tournament. We needed more than some snack shack hot dog from their concession stand. But where to go so I don't miss the competition in the gym and will I have to worry about the family getting sick?Let me tell you Siri gave me several options and "Deli-Man" seemed to fit the bill. Not only Deli-Man is only 5 min close to the college, the place is well stocked and ready to serve. It turns out this joint is the locals sweet spot and during the week, many city college students pick Deli Man for a hearty meal at a "decent" price. I say decent because there ain't no free lunch in the big city!Let me tell you the one sandwich was able to get us through lunch and was super tasty! No joke and kidding aside, Charlie has a great place, with a funky-cool vibe. Don't expect a high end sit down place. This is a "grab-it quick and get back to it" kind of place. One big thing for us is how clean a restaurant is. Food sickness sucks, and even more when you're on the road. No worries at Deli Man! Charlie runs a tight and tidy ship! My wife would approve of how squeaky clean the bathroom and the food prep area was kept! And before you start thinking I got paid for this glowing endorsement and he's my family. Stuff it, I'd never met Charlie before and this was a random first time visit.Again, there is a well earned reason Charlie is a local favorite. Next time we're in town and remotely close to this part of San Francisco we are stopping for a first class lunch at Deli Man. You would do well making the same choice!

Parking: Ok, so just outside and to the east of the shop is a small bit of curb in front of a "white" fire hydrant at the corner of "Otsego and Ocean Ave." Of course, I did what anyone one else trying to find a place to park for just a couple of minutes would do. Park there!I don't know if a white fire hydrant is un-used or not in use. It worked out and no ticket on my window. I can't endorse this option, but parking in the city is why people don't drive their cars. Bicycles or scooters yes, cars not so much. That's why there is no parking, because the streets are full of dusty forgotten old cars. Hey people, move your car.

Rolled the dice and today Deli Man was the winner. I’m not mad at the choice it was a hefty sandwhich made well. Service was awesome, I walked in scatter brained and my guy was patient and helpful. I wanted to try the tri tip but unfortunately is unavailable at the moment but will hopefully return soon(get well buddy). So after a long hard look at the menu with a little bit of disappointment I decided to get a Turkey Bacon and Avacado with everything on it on a soft roll and a side of banana pudding. The sandwhich was good size loaded with turkey and bacon. The way it was put together was a perfect stack. 8/10The Banana Pudding was also a hit, not to sweet and a pretty big serving. 8.5/10

Parking: Parking is not impossible but it is a task. I circled the block a few times. Double parking could work just watch the car

Kid-friendliness: Pre made sandwiches and a good snack section

Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible

Mmm mmm mmm. These fellas use whatever they've had on the BBQ that day for their sandwiches, and it is GLORIOUS. I could get a sandwich anywhere else for the same price and get mediocre meat that was sliced a week ago and cooked a week before that, but here, this man looked me in the eye and asked if I want the teriyaki chicken he just cooked, pulling it up in his tongs as he said it. The chicken was still dripping juice! Then he cut up a whole piece for me, no mishmash of whatever's left in the factory, he cut me up a recognizable, beautifully charred, bone-in chicken thigh and put it on my sandwich. The service is prompt as possible and always friendly, the order is accurate, and the food is DELICIOUS. They even try to get me through the line ASAP when I show up at the same time as the wave from the local school. I will absolutely wade through a horde of 12-year-olds for a sandwich like this, and you should too.
