Their deli sandwich is sooooo good! I order the Sausalito Turkey Club, they used high end meat and you can taste the the expensiveness while it’s very affordable. Cleanliness approved 👍🏻 Abdul and all staff are very personable! Highly recommended! I will absolutely come back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!
I think I'm the third or fourth reviewer to say this place feels like home.
Wonderful kind host, great global sweetness vibe (the man at the counter was singing along in Japanese to J-Pop 🇱🇾❤️🇯🇵). Super delicious housemade Yemeni beehive buns (خلية النحل) are worth making a special trip for: faintly salted yeast dough with a cream cheese filling drizzled with honey and sprinkled with sesame and nigella seeds. Eat in and have them hot with Yemeni coffee. YUM!!

Great sandwiches, clean store and sweet, friendly people. Everything I could have wanted. 2010 club music playing in the background was a vibe.

Really excellent addition to the Larkin St. Civic Center corridor. Like a mix between a corner store, sandwich shop and cafe. There's indoor seating, which is great in the TL. Nice selection of classic candies as well as European brands like Lindt and Loacker. Did I mention there's Double Rainbow ice cream for a single scoop at $3.99? I'm glad this exists and hope it will stay!

Well now, let me spin you a tale about a curious little spot tucked away in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, a place by the name of Deli Shack. Were it not for the sweet serendipity of proximity, I might never have stumbled upon it—just another speck amid the cacophony of convenience stores littering the neighborhood. But fortune smiles on the curious, does it not? And so, here I am, singing its praises like a bard of old.

From the moment you step inside, it’s as if the place whispers, “Hoş geldiniz,” welcoming you like an old friend. The air carries neither the staleness of neglect nor the acrid tang of too much bleach—it’s just clean, inviting, and uncluttered, like a room someone actually cares about.

Their wares are modest, a testament to the adage that less can indeed be more. The real treasures here are bottled, mind you—rows of kombucha for the health-conscious, and an impressive variety of Diet Dr Pepper and Diet Canada Dry for those whose hearts beat to the rhythm of effervescence. It’s the kind of selection that makes a man ponder life’s finer comforts, like soda that dances on the tongue.

Ah, but the counter! That’s where the heart of the operation resides, adorned with sweets of Turkish persuasion. Now, I must confess, Turkish delight has betrayed me in the past, and I eyed it here with the suspicion one reserves for an old adversary. But the baklava? Ay Allah, the baklava! Layers so delicate they might have been spun by celestial hands, and flavors so rich you’d swear they came straight from heaven’s pantry. They’ve even gone so far as to differentiate between the factory-made variety and the family-made creations—a small touch, but a thoughtful one. You’ve got to respect the honesty.

The service? Well, let me put it this way: if the folks behind the counter had been running the Ottoman Empire, it might still be standing today. Polite, warm, and efficient, they make you feel like your presence is not just noticed but appreciated.

If I have one wish, it’s that they’d expand their offerings to include fresh produce—cantaloupe, beans, the kind of earthy goods that nourish both body and soul. But expansion is a tricky beast, and sometimes it’s better to stay true to what you’re good at.

So there you have it, my five-star ode to Deli Shack. If you’re wandering the Tenderloin, craving a Diet Dr Pepper, or longing for a baklava that whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds, stop by. And if you don’t, well, dostum, that’s your loss.

Nice cozy atmosphere. Love the sandwiches they were so good . i ordered a beef salami sandwich and chocolate old fashioned. Nice place to read a book and eat. everyone is so kind and welcoming. Very pleasant experience. Pastrami seems to be the most requested sandwich . People tend to love it. I paid cash but i noticed other customers were also able to use food stamps on cold food as well. They also other breakfast food Options like bagel, crossants, breakfast burritos. As far as drinks they have coffee, espressos, arabic coffee, chai milkshakes and smoothies.

Very nice spot, wish I got a sandwich too. I got a Carmel Macchiato and some bread with mozzarella, honey, seeds, and something that was like cream cheese.. it was a delicious snack. The gentleman that helped me was very helpful as well, giving recommendations when I wasn’t sure what to get. Very sensible prices too!
