Feb 18, 12:00pm - The woman at the register rolled her eyes when we asked to heat up our scone. The scone and breakfast sandwich took a while, but were good. Getting annoyed at customers isn’t a good look for a food service place. Still tipped, though.

The avocado toast was basically a sandwich of thin sourdough with smashed avocado inbetween. Seasoning was nowhere to be found...not a single ingredient added other than avocado. Very bland and underwhelming. The hot chai latte is also lacking any real flavor and is the most watered down version I've ever had. I get that a breakfast sandwich put you on the map, but please pay attention to your other items or maybe don't sell them at all.

Two things: The Special Sandwich is *outstanding*, worth the time and all the hype. Get it. You’re welcome.
The woman taking orders, as our first point of contact into the establishment, was unfriendly and lacked the warmth that her position up front should have. As a business owner myself, a smile goes a long way, so the mask and lack of joy or warmth in her eyes—the only part of her face we could see—was a strong turn off.
The questions we asked regarding the menu were one word answers and inherently unhelpful.
For a product of this caliber, the staffing should be held to a higher standard.

I don’t know if we just came on an off day given that it was New Year’s Eve, but the cinnamon rolls and coffee are atrocious. I’ve had better cinnamon rolls at a Walmart. The roll was like a brick, and they microwaved it after we asked for it to be warmed up. The staff seemed like they didn’t really want to be there.
And oh man why did I get the $9 grilled cheese?! You’d think it was made out of gold, but that’s my bad for spending so much on a grilled cheese.
The books were nice to read at least.

Oh my goodness. Delicious. Fabulocious. So glad I was here on a Sunday for the fresh made beignets, $1 a piece. Generous breakfast portions. Yummy sauce on the special breakfast sandwich. Feeling very full. The. Ginger. Cookie. Period. Perfectly soft and chewy and sweet and spicy. No photos, too late, ate it.

Service was super friendly and very quick for breakfast on a week day. They boxed up my baked goods nicely with a utensil and even offered to warm the sticky bun for me! They had brown paper bags I could put my items in to easily carry away, because this place is takeout only. My only comment on the food is that the sticky bun could really benefit from being topped with the cream cheese frosting from the carrot cake, I would even be willing to buy the frosting separately and put it on myself!

Order:
- Special breakfast sandwich no bacon: favorite breakfast sandwich in all SF
- Orange passion fruit juice
Notes:
3 locations in SF.
Every time we go, we try a new baked good. So far our favorites are: oatmeal cranberry cookie, cinnamon roll (insane, must try), fig zucchini bread, and the scones!
Very friendly staff as well.
On Sundays, they serve donuts.

The special breakfast sandwich is rich and delicious, packed with a healthy serving of scrambled eggs, bacon, and avocado and served on a biscuit bun! I could have done without the aioli sauce so next time I’ll just get the regular breakfast sandwich. They also have baked goods and coffee!
I live near BANDIT and they do similar sandwiches (wider variety) so it’s not necessarily worth the journey for me, but if you’re downtown and looking for a filling breakfast sandwich, I confidently recommend DTB Co.

Cinnamon roll was delicious, just do wish there was a glaze to go along with it. The breakfast sandwhich is also really tasty. It comes on a biscuit, but would've personally preferred a brioche bun of some sort.
Customer service was top notch. There was a misunderstanding of what I ordered vs what I received and they sorted it out like pros.
