I've visited Dim Sum Kitchen multiple times and the majority of my experiences have been decent. My recent visit unfortunately was bad enough that I have to leave this review. I am pretty confident the majority the food I ordered (steam pork buns, siomai, and pot stickers) were not fresh, very possibly a day old. The only dish I know was fresh was the chow mein but it unfortunately lacked flavor. My advice, check the food temp before you leave as I would of brought it back but I was already close to home in SSF

Beef rice noodle has barely any meat. They are clearly cheating out on the beef quality and quantity.
The spareribs with rice noodle was lukewarm
The baked bbq bun was mixed with pineapple bun and they didn’t let me know of the difference when I simply asked for a baked bbq bun
Unexpectedly good

It’s really a to go place but surprisingly they offer a kitchen that will take orders and even customize your order. The staff is very nice and friendly. A few IYKYK things 1) It’s one of the rare places that still make mochi desert. They have a pineapple version and a peanut version. Both are really good. 2) Their bolo “pineapple” buns are also pretty good and they have it in a dedicated space with heat lamp. 3) they make soy milk from scratch. And it’s delicious.

This spot is one of the go to spots on San Bruno ave. The prices are good and they give you some hefty plates. Beyond the price the food is just good. I usually go for the dim sum but on occasion will do a combo plate. If you’re in n the area looking for a cheap good meal pull up!

Shrimp dumplings, egg custard tarts, BBQ pork buns and 2 types of chive dumplings were all great! Nice and fresh. Haven’t tried the savory döng yet, but looks good. The roughly $35 worth of food would probably feed 2.5 people.

Tasty, reasonable price
Food was good overall. They take Apple Pay and had everything precooked so it was fast. The congee was good but not amazingSoy milk was okShumai was big but a little tough. The har gow, shrimp noodle roll and turnip cake were all amazing.Pork and custard bun were pretty good and the egg tart was surprisingly custardy.I’d definitely go again. Price was reasonable.

Ugh wow. First off off, I appreciate that they have small 3pc orders, all other dim sum places make you have to place like a 10pc of 1 kind of dumpling order so you can't have variety.2nd off, these dumplings are fat af, and totally full of goodness.3rd, they have ready made behind a glass so you can just point at what looks good as an order, and trust, whatever looks good, IS amazing.I honestly can't tell you what I ordered because I pointed at all of it. This fried shrimpy wonton thing was sublime. I got it because all the other asian customers were ordering tons of it.. so it is a good idea to observe what the regular customers are picking and just follow their footsteps..Only thing is they don't have much in the way of sauce to go with these dumplings. They have generic soy sauce and sweet and sour out of a packet.. I was hoping for some sort of.. idk like a ponzu for the dumplings. It's OK, they are still good without sauce.Worth a try!

EVERY SINGLE TIME I come here there is nobody around. I scream and knock and nobody shows up unless you wait for the worker to return from wherever they were. This time I walked back into the kitchen to find a worker and nobody was there but things were burning on the stove. Just nasty and unprofessional. Don't go here unless you have time to waste waiting for them to want to work.
