Great drinks with friendly staff!
This absolute hidden gem in the Mission has some of the best boba in the city! I tried the Taro Latte, and you can tell they use real taro chunks. It’s creamy, perfectly balanced, and doesn't taste like a sugar bomb. The Hong Kong Milk Tea is another standout with a deep, authentic tea flavor. But my favorite is the Mung Bean Latte for a sweet little protein boost.
Beyond the drinks, the Spam Musubi and Popcorn Chicken were fresh and hit the spot. Even though it’s a small counter-serve space, the vibe is super welcoming and the staff is incredibly friendly. Quick service, creative menu options, and consistently high quality. Definitely a new regular spot for me!
Been to District Tea a few times now and the drinks are always incredible. The matcha drinks are great and also the Sunset District.
On a side note, they might have changed their sauce in their Spam Musubi. It definitely tastes better than before. Popcorn chicken was also super crispy! Can’t wait to try their other drinks and food options!
A great boba & tea shop in the heart of the Mission (by 17th & 18th Streets). Got the Castro Tea with Mango & Lychee with lychee gel. Very tasty. You can request how sweet you want for the drink. I got 30%. Nice staff and looks very clean.
We had to wait 15 minutes for a new batch of boba but they were so sweet about it and upgraded my drink size! It was also so delicious!!
Ordered a taro latte less sweet. Instead of telling us that they don’t support sweetness customizations before making the drink, the staff passive aggressively told off the cashier out loud. We were the only customers there and it was just super awkward. The drinks and food are great though.
This place is amazing! I ordered delivery and the food arrived quickly, still warm and crispy. That’s so important for deep-fried dishes, and they really nailed the packaging.
The portions are super generous too. With how expensive everything is in SF right now, District Tea is honestly great value and such a nice treat for myself. The squid pieces were huge, and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken tasted so authentic, complete with pepper salt and basil leaves!
I can’t wait to visit in person someday and try more items on the menu.
Oh yes, the musubi is amazing too! Nom!
District Tea is a must-go when you are in the mood for boba. They also have a generous food and drink menu with plenty of options.
The Vietnamese coffee was delicious and the popcorn chicken was fresh. The boba is one of the best in the city by far, and they have a great selection of seasonal drinks too!
As a bonus, the staff is super friendly also! Will definitely be going back!
Hidden gem in the Mission! District Tea has a relaxed ambience and a great menu with lots of options, including unique drinks like a sweet potato latte. Super friendly staff with great recommendations—the Hong Kong milk tea was delicious. Food was also on point (popcorn chicken and spam musubi). Perfect to grab and enjoy at Dolores Park!
The food and drinks are made fine, but the lack of awareness and communication between the teenage staff is frustrating. I was the only customer in the store, and there were three staff in the shop. The kitchen staff completed my drink order and left it on the kitchen counter without notifying the front staff. As a result, I just looked at my fully prepared drink sitting beyond my reach. After waiting several minutes staring at my drink, the front staff went to the back, completely ignoring my fully ready drink. I had to call out to the staff—who were chatting in the back—to ask them to come up front and move my drink from the kitchen counter to the front counter. Surely it's not the responsibility of the one customer to coordinate three staff.

I ordered a big pickup order and they didn't put ice in my drinks until arrived! I thought it was such a nice touch that I've never experienced with any other boba shop before! The food is always really good as well 😋
Oolong milk tea is strong, fragrant
Tiny but mighty boba store ⭐️! I got the mung bean latte with agar boba and grass jelly on a hot day and enjoyed it! I came in around 6:40pm and they had run out of regular boba by then so I got the agar boba, which are the translucent balls that are a bit smaller and harder. I believe if you come on a Thursday, you can size up for free. Service was friendly! Many interesting drink options, food options, and even cool blankets/merch. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends!
Loved their corn dog (half & half) super good!
The popcorn chicken has no flavor.
