Popped in for some shade during a pride march. Despite a huge line and tons of activity just outside, the café was relaxed and calm inside. I had a lovely fresh lemonade ($4, not too sweet). The manager took people's drink orders while we waited in line to get ahead of the rush. As a former manager myself, this kind of professional behavior tells me that they value the customer and work hard to build a smooth service experience for staff as well. Seen and appreciated!
Excellent food, coffee and water.
Great place for lunch, coffee, and meeting friends…including your four-legged ones.
Coffee is good, but the to-go coffee containers suck. Changed my to-go coffee lid twice, it still leaked all over me.
Friendly café next to Dolores Park, I only had a coffee but the food looked great and the whole place smelled amazing!
(I saw they had gluten free options and many vegetarian options as well)
The staff was super helpful and nice to everyone that came and went.
-vegan breakfast burrito - 8.5/10 great, would have been very good with the cashew cream being thicker/creamier and maybe cheesier. Would also be amazing to see more vegan food options on the menu in the future!
Sneaky pricing.

I recently visited Dolores Cafe and decided to try the Italian sandwich, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The chicken tasted highly processed, and there was far too much of it, overwhelming the rest of the sandwich. The peperoncini and cauliflower added a strange texture that didn’t work well together. On top of that, the sandwich was drenched in oil, making it messy and soggy. For $20, I expected something much better.
On a positive note, the staff was nice enough, but overall, the meal wasn’t worth the price.
Update: the sandwich gave me stomach issues. I knew that chicken was off.’

Consistently one of my favorite daytime spots for a light snack, a full breakfast, or a grab-and-go lunch. The food is incredibly fresh and well-made, and the staff is always friendly and helpful too.

Got shorted (twice). We came here today and they brought out two hot coffees when we asked for iced, then when we asked for it to get fixed the manager went and reluctantly made us two small iced coffees - before we could tell her that we asked and paid for a 20oz she was gone so we lost that money - over 30$ for two 6oz and a hummus plate.
I really used to like this coffee shop but I won't be coming back, it's not even the first time they mess up our order and/or treat us like that.

Hours are wrong. I got there around 7:10am. Employees inside, doors locked. They gave me a hand sign that they weren’t open.

Best sandwich I had in a while, nothing short of perfection - which is a lot, coming from a picky eater like me :]

Smoothies so good! Loved the green machine. On a Friday afternoon, not too busy. We were able to get a lovely table outside in the sun. They have some water, but the cups are quite small. Bagel with cream cheese was really good!
