Don’t trust the seller reviews here !
Our experience after this very pricey meal was : We were treated with scorn/disrespect for not ordering sake and not buying their bottled water.
If you don’t eat certain things e.g. salmon roe, unagi, etc, they don’t have alternatives. The chef will give you the evil eye and treat you rudely for daring not to eat everything that he serves.
Once he is annoyed with you, he will not explain to you anything that he’s putting on the table. He’ll explain to the other people that he’s not annoyed with, what he serving you. However, he stopped letting us know, what he put in front of us. We had to make repeated request as to what he is serving us. And he would answer us with an attitude - he seemed to be inconvenienced.
Food - was ok; the best thing that was served was a Japanese cracker (sweet and savory ) with tuna tartare. After dining here, we made this at home a couple of times, and it was just as delicious.
Why pay $300 for a meal for two, and be treated like an uninvited guests?
We have found a wonderful place called the Tokyo market in Berkeley where you can get the freshest sushi in the Bay Area. This place has sushi the same quality as this restaurant.

Had a beautiful and delicious omakase in this cute house with a casual but elevated vibe.

Quasi-private dining experience with exquisite omakase curated with top shelf fresh seafood run by a single chef and a single waitress/hostess. Impressive culinary arts in whimsical and small dining room. Wagyu beef topped with caviar and gold flakes nigiri for the win. Improvements could include more familiar Japanese beers and sake along with allowing customer to choose tip percentage based on quality of service. (I’m not a fan of flat 20% no matter what for service fee). All in all, great dining experience and worth revisiting!
Intimate, exacting, and unreal quality. Steven (owner/chef) creates one of a kind sushi/sashimi courses that melt in the mouth with a broad flavor spectrum. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience that won’t be forgotten.
Hands down the best Sushi in San Francisco. An intimate tiny place with wonderful fish and great sake/wine
This is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to in the US. Everything is made with precision and care. It’s tiny and intimate and reminds me more of restaurants in NYC than SF. Truly special experience.
Excellent sushi, and the food coming from the wonderful lady in the back was also amazing! The tuna belly, yellowtail, and the fried fish were especially good. The atmosphere at the restaurant is warm and comfortable, and the owners are friendly and clearly passionate about making great food.
Ate here for the first time today. It’s now my favorite sushi restaurant in San Francisco! Great vibes too, music and all. Definitely coming back soon :)
Amazing food, amazing service. One of the best meals I've had in an intimate and friendly setting.
The best sushi I've had so far.

One of the best dinner experiences I’ve had in SF. Excellent, personable service. Delicious omakase. And a pretty awesome music playlist. A gem of a restaurant in the heart of Bernal!
Such an unexpected vibe. What a joy. Can’t wait to come back and celebrate a birthday with the girls.

Doma Sushi is charming, competitively priced, and delicious. The couple running the place perfectly synchronized the omakase courses. Everything kicked off with a fresh cucumber and shrimp dish. It was wonderful. The sushi pieces were generously sized and mouth-watering. The wagyu beef was buttery and flavorful. The tofu skin soup was warming and tasty. The chef was so precise in his work, it was fun to watch. The dessert was a melange of great flavors. It felt like we were invited into their home and treated with the highest hospitality. I’m a big fan. (Also, loved the background music playlist!)

Went to Tokyo last year, had the best sushi of my life, and this was … somehow even better. Absolutely incredible.
Did it need the A5 Wagyu, Caviar, and gold flake course? No. Was I mad about it? No, no I was not.
