THIS PLACE was my favorite restaurant when I visited San Fran! Their margaritas are so good and their Pastor tacos were so delicious! I am going to be craving this place daily!

Walking around and stumbled upon Don Pistos and couldn’t be happier. Was a great place with excellent Mexican cuisine and would’ve eaten more if my stomach would’ve allowed it. Definitely would recommend if in the area

The food was good but the service was terrible. I have never been served a bill before being served my food but I guess there is a first time for everything. Needless to say that we will not be coming here again.

So-so. The playlist 10/10, I didn’t order tacos or real food, but the street corn isn’t what it used to be (not grilled like other photos) and Sangria was a lacking a bit also. But the carnitas tacos on someone else’s order was looking good.

It was really busy but the bar was free (just ask to sit there). The food was really good! Spicy but yummy. If you dont like spicy at all do be aware that this might not be for you, buy it os worth it!

We chose Don Pisto’s because of its positive reviews on TripAdvisor, but we had some trepidations because it’s a Mexican restaurant in Italian North Beach. But we were more than pleasantly surprised. Our reservation was promptly met, and the service was wonderful from the moment we sat down. Everything we had was delicious, especially the guacamole and margaritas. The tacos, although small (as described), were both packed with ingredients and perfectly seasoned. The best part of the meal was the Pisto’a salad, a huge serving of corn, black beans, some lettuce and tomatoes in a yummy avocado vinaigrette. Definitely worth the effort to find.

Modern venue with outstanding food and service. Really good tacos and quesadillas.However, I would suggest the option of serving 3 tacos as 2 is not enough and 4 is heaps.

So highly recommended. The staff are some of the most courteous and attentive staff I’ve ever had. Not to mention, as a Texan, some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve ever had. Everything is too notch. The Hibiscus margarita was *chefs kiss* delightful. Pollo Asado tacos were phenomenal. Definitely stop by and give this place a go. It’s well worth anyones times.

We are visiting Texans and this place is better than most Mexican restaurants! The food here is amazing and the service is even better! We were in town at San Francisco for only a few days and ended up coming back here over a couple of days time, which we did for no other restaurant.The people here are some of the best we have met and represent SF so well!
