Worker wouldn't accept 20 pennies as method of payment for bag.. my total was 21 dollars with some change and I gave her 22 dollars but wanted 20 cents for bag all I had on me was nothing but pennies but refused to accept. She said she can't because they don't accept pennies I never heard of that before. I would've understand if was giving her 22 dollars in all pennies but that wasn't the case!!

You definitely need to know what order here:
Egg tarts and BBQ pork buns are made fresh in the morning and honestly quite the hidden gem here. I'm an egg tart connoisseur, and for a hole in the wall in the Mission, it actually is one of the better egg tarts in SF, in fact, the peninsula. (Try to buy them earlier in the day though).
Many of the other items are a gamble though; many of the cakes don't seem fresh. It's probably best to ask the employees when each thing was baked.
Incredible value. I spent $5 and got more baked treats than I could eat in a sitting.

Pork bun alone is very good. Price is great. Everything else looks kinda dirty tbh i.e. flies buzzing. But pork bun is individually wrapped.

The upside down pineapple cake was moldy & the strawberry mango cake was dry. The frost was more like a jelly candy?

Ordered my birthday cake here a day in advance and it was perfect. A classic Chinese mixed fruit cake. So good, not too sweet of course, and the price is right!!
Yummy and wide selection. Chocolate mouse was fire.

Very delicious cakes ?
The service was so rude and very slow. And then when I finally got my donut and tasted it I was disgusted by it. I wound up feeding it to the pigeons outside.

Great prices but the food is whatever.
Possibly the worse bakery I’ve visited. While things did look delicious: the pineapple turnover lacked the all important component (i.e. pineapple) or at least it was undetectable; on the other hand the crust was nice and flakey. I also tried two custard filled treats and— while the filling seemed fine— the treat itself was stale and must have been a day or more sitting in the window waiting to be purchased: not good. I have two other “treats” which made it home with me, but I’m debating with myself if I should chance eating them or just resign myself to guessing they are in fact a few more “tricks.” Good luck. Maybe they had an off day when I visited.
and the custard filled

I bought some pastries from here and they were good. Only complaints is that both pastries were a bit stale and greasy.
