Great food, terrible service.

The waiter Henry was mean from the get go, every time we asked something he responded in a rude manner.

This was after a game, so it’s unacceptable the wey he treated us as costumers and game-goers.

Would come back, but avoiding being in Henry’s service.

Eh. Came here on a friends suggestion but wasn’t the best. Fish toast — great! Pan fried bao, was yummy. However, XLB were sticky and tore apart when trying to eat them and the wagyu potstickers weren’t great (very dry).

Ordered Chandon brut $14.00 and was billed over $20 the guy that served me, an Asian man, told me he gave me something else that was not listed with a glass pricing. I feel that that was very very dishonest and greedy of him. Will never return for business…. He kept hovering over me asking to if I was ordering food and I casually responded that I just wanted a glass of Chandon and was seated at the bar. You need to close if you can’t afford to be honest. Wow!!

food was yummy! they have unique flavors of XLB (soup dumplings) that i’ve never seen before of my favorite things. like sinigang and pho xlb??? they were fun to try. the cucumber appetizer was also soooooo good, everyone at the table wanted more. dare i say better than the ones at din tai fung…

we went on a weekday, no game and there wasn’t much customers, so service was fast and they were really nice!

My parents were visiting SF and had never been to Dumpling Time, so I was looking forward to bringing them here and showing them around the area. This location by Chase Center is super convenient — easy to get to by public transit or other means. With other restaurants, shops, and (usually) events going on nearby, the neighbourhood is fun to explore, but it also means the restaurant can get predictably busy on game or event days. Fortunately, this visit wasn’t one of those days, so we didn’t need a reservation (for 4).

We ordered a bunch of dishes to share family-style, which is definitely the way to go since there are so many goodies to try. My go-tos are the pork XLB, lamb dumplings, and the trio of buns for dessert, but tbh everything I’ve had here has been solid.

If you're craving Asian food before a game or concert at Chase, this is a solid spot. The food isn't something to write home about but it does the job. For the price of a chicken tenders meal at Chase, you can get a tastier dish here. Service was good and while the restaurant was a bit cramped, it was good that they could accommodate a lot of people.

I’m confused that the spot in design district is heavily lauded, but is not on door dash. So I would like a response as to why, bc the other favorites of sf are on DoorDash and still fantastic. Specifically, everything was so bland compared to your competitors. Shanghai dumpling king which is a 2x cheaper option is so much better. Sorry for the blunt feedback but want yall to be better :)

Attended the Lavar Cup on Sunday and decided to swing by this restaurant. Service was terrible. None of the waiters/waitress greeted us or sat us down. We had to ask the bartender to seat us. Then upon being seated the servers intentionally kept avoiding our table and providing incomplete or incorrect orders. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

Be ready for a super gross toilet when you use the bathroom.
This restaurant is horrible. I understand it is in chase center so it is over priced but the food quality is nothing authentic Chinese. The most annoying thing is their toilets don't flush so it's super gross. I confronted the waiter and waitress and they just lied in front of me claiming it is working. Can you not even fix your toilet while charging 2 to 3x of regular price?

Waitress asked me 10 times what drink I wanted after I clearly told her. Seems like she was more interested in her own suggestions and maybe was surprised I wouldn’t take her tip for a different cocktail. Please listen to the customer instead.

Service was poor overall. Dirty napkins were left on our table the entire 45 min stay after a small spill of water when we sat down. None of the waiters came up to us the whole time to ask for refills/more orders. The restaurant was half empty also.

The food however was great 8/10.

My friend work across the street and told me how amazing this place is. We came here for an evening date and it was a good environment. We are also from another state, but we’ve had dumplings and dim sum recently in the Richmond district a few weeks prior to this.
The food was overpriced and it tasted okay. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t impressive either. My only complaint would be the ribs; they were very dry with little meat on it. The presentation of the food has been great, but I think we’ll go other places for this style of cuisine.
