I was there last night for the Pub Quiz. During the music round, the Pogues were played (naturally). People broke out in song and dance!

Great cozy pub but more often than not there is really loud club music playing, even if there are only a handful of patrons. Can't even hear the person next to me.

possibly consider not drinking on the job and focusing on taking orders instead of yapping

I can’t even begin to tell you how fun this place is. If you wanna get out of the house or had a long day and want to have some drinks, laugh, decompress and have a great time, you have to come here. They even have trivia on Wednesdays, and they are not easy ( it gets pretty packed for trivia so go early). And if you’re from out of town get their sweater. I have been to the plethora of Irish pubs in my life and this one is my favorite. I just wish I lived in the neighborhood and visited long enough to try their food. Definitely coming back the next time my husband and I visit SF.

My wife’s birthday was on a Monday and Odee kept the bar open to celebrate. He is actually Irish and not using the theme for profit. If you want the most personable bartender/owner and a fun evening, get a snack and talk to the owner!!!!

It was ok. The night we went it was super crowded so it took a while to get our drinks. The music was extremely loud for such a small location.

Durty Nelly's is a fantastic Irish pub near Golden Gate Park.

Lots of games on the telly, a solid beer selection, and a menu full of bar fare. The curry chicken chips were great, and the portions are huge.

As authentic an Irish pub experience as you'll get in the city. Hospitable and friendly Publican, perfect pints of Guinness, great conversation. Food is decent pub fare as well. The real fireplace is great for those heavy, foggy days on this side of town when you want to sit by a fire and have a pint. As others have mentioned, have come by with my dog in tow and was welcomed in. Happy to have Durty Nelly’s as my local.

This place is fantastic the atmosphere was great! It is a small place so it can be noisy but it's to be expected of a great irish pub/bar. Odie provides fantastic service and will take care of you!
