Completely disgusting food with no seasoning. Taste like it's been out on the counter all day long, their refried beans for drippy and water down, and their tortillas were kind of stale.By far, this is the worst taqueria in San Francisco

A decent place to eat Mexican food despite the poverty that surrounds the area. The taco salad was my favorite. A well balanced bowl of beans, meat, rice, avocado and salad. Their super taco has too much goodness to keep within the confinement of two small tortillas. Satisfied customer.

On 6-8-2023 I visited El Castillito and was fairly surprised. I had no intentions of going out to eat this day but I couldn't resist the smells of grilled carne, the sounds of metal utensils hitting pans, and the cool breeze from the bay blowing in my face. It felt like being at my grandma's in San Antonio, Texas. I had to stop and I'm so glad I did! I started with some beans and rice and then I followed with three asada tacos.->Call me phat, IDK.->I'll call you lame if you don't stop by this spot.->Then we can both never call each other again because we aren't the same.When you go, concoct your own version of a salsa and ask for chips. I couldn't help to make myself an antojito. Oink oink baby!Kid-friendliness: There were 3 different tables and each had children so I would say this place is kid-friendly.Parking: Typical street parking, if you can find it. I happened to be footing it that day and stumbled upon this gem.

Tacos were fantastic, didn't use extravagant ingredients and kept it simple, which was exactly what I wanted in a good, authentic tacoFast and good service, very chill spot

It's says they take EBT, they do not. For some reason decided to charge me an extra dollar claiming it's the tax which added the value, but the tax was on the charco separately. Instead of returning the extra dollar they argued with me for several minutes until lost patience and asked for my money back. Super unfriendly, maybe because I am white. Why on Earth did they fight so hard for a dollar they so obviously overcharged? I would have left more in tips!

Best in the neighborhood. Trust me, I've tried em all.Quality ingredients, always hot and fresh, and super friendly staff. I recommend the super tacos paired with one of their hand-made michaladas to wash it down! Great spot for lunch for under 20 bucks in the city!

GoodMexican food, Great place to stop by and grab lunch or dinner any day of the week I do enjoy the menu here and the nachos are pretty good.

This place use to be good now it's a rip off. The chicken in sauce is boiled to flavorless toughness . The carne asada is chopped to bits as to remove flavor and meat dry either the texture of sand paper. Oh and tiniest of cheese the put now on a burrito makes for a tough chew burrito . Forgot to mention the rubber pre cooked fish they serve to order. All this to save money and lose quality.
It's great food located near Safeway and public transportation.

I ordered food here and paid for it online. They tried to say the order was never received even though the cook knew what I ordered and was making it when I got there. They tried to make me pay cash for the food. Very shady burrito place. It's also very dirty inside. For a San Francisco burrito place it is one of the worst. Don't eat here please.

Mediocre at best. The staff was super friendly. However, the meat was bland. I appreciated the freshness of cooking the meat right on the cooktop when I ordered but the flavor was lacking. The salsa inside made up for some of the taste but it wasn't enough. It was also a massive burrito could definitely feed two easily. I just wish it was better seasoned.
