We love El Lopo!!!!! My now-husband and I moved to the bay in April, and on our first outing to San Francisco we were blindly walking around looking for somewhere to eat when we stumbled upon El Lopo. We took a chance and had one of the best dining experience of our lives. Unknown to us at the time, our server was the owner, and we chose to order the “take care of us” along with several sherry flights. Everything was delicious, perfectly portioned, and the vibes were immaculate....
So much fun! They specialize in Sherry, but with a whole range of Spanish wines, beers, and ciders.
The bar is based on an alternate history where Spain/Mexico continued to control California and kept up the cuisine traditions.
The food and ambiance is great, and the service is good to boot. Would recommend wholly!
