MOFONGO! If you don't know, you need to try this amazing dish. Last night, I had the vegetarian version. My husband had pork with his, and my son had the shrimp. All mofongo, all incredible! My daughter had pink beans, rice and tostones. We also had fried yucca. Don't delay! Last night, the staff said they maybe closing this May OR sooner. Go! Quickly! Appreciate this institution of the Mission! Before it is gone! 😧

I'm Cuban, have been in Puerto Rico many times before, is a legit insult to call this food Caribbean cuisine in any possible way! I ordered the "Cuban style pork" "Cuban style Black Beans" AND "Puerto Rican Rice!" Everything tasted like it came out of a can!! Tasteless or even worse! lame and bad tasting! everything boiled! no flavor! A complete disgrace.. please order your food from somewhere else I can't stress this enough

The down-to-earth place where you can enjoy the cuban food in a relaxing environment. The owner is very kind and the food is quick and delicious. The price is also quite affordable. The slow cooked pork is very tender. Ceviche with freshly made chips are refreshing. To me, the yuca fries is always surprisingly good and this place confirmed me once again that it is way better than potato fries. We love the tres le ches cake as well. FYI Guy Ferri came here too!

The shrimp mofongo was absolutely amazing! The flavors were incredible and left me wanting more with every bite. Everything was perfectly cooked. The service was also excellent, making the entire dining experience enjoyable. Highly recommend!

It’s good but I wouldn’t call it super authentic puertorican. The mayoketchup was missing and the tres leches was more like 1 leche (dry). Still better than a lot of other places though.

We were looking forward to taste Cuban/Puerto Rican fare, but were so disappointed. Why? Well, first off, the server informed us that there was no chicken or pork. Then to top it off, when we ordered some lemonade, they ran out of that too! We were able to have it for one in our party. My sibling ordered ceviche, and at first, was told that it wasn't ready. We ended up waiting for it and it was tasty, very good. Thus, as our party was limited of what we could order, we end up having the empanadas, sans chicken or pork, tostones and the yucca fries. All these items were very delicious, just a bummer that we couldn't order what we really wanted to because of these items were not available. Also, the wait time was ridiculous for us to receive our order. If this restaurant gets their act together, then I would reconsider. I felt so bad for my party because of the let down.

We had Nuevo Frutilandia cater a lunch for our office. Tyrisha was so easy to work with and made some great recommendations for our team. The food was amazing and we had so many positive reviews in the office. We're already thinking when we can have them back and highly recommended. Many of the dishes if not all gave us a lot of meal flexibility (vegan, veg, & gf).
