Found this place a few weeks ago and I’m loving it. Family owned and operated damn they make a good taco. My favorite so far is simply carne asada but I like the al pastor too. Come stop by and check them out for a quick bite. They have counter seating inside and a couple tables on the sidewalk. Right next to Pete’s coffee on Brannan.

I finally took the time to stop by to try the food. I was very excited, but boy was I let down. I ordered chicken enchiladas and the sauce was cold the beans were cold and the rice was cold. The guacamole was OK but slightly old. I was very disappointed because I don't like cold Mexican food. I was super bummed!

Freshly made tortillas for their tacos. The carnitas is particularly good.

One of the few Mexican restaurants with nicely flavored and not overly salted food. Tortillas are fantastic and handmade. You can taste the flavors and not just salt!

I've tried pozole all over the City and have not found one that compares to El Pipila! It's unmatched.

We had burritos and tacos and they were just ok, but the sauces were great. There’s limited street parking and no restrooms.

The food here is decent. However, I recently placed an order online through their website. After approving the total on my card, the store added a service fee and a tip that I did not authorize. I won't ever eat here again.
