The service was not very good. The food is good but not great. The atmosphere is nice. We had to send back the pitcher of margaritas as they put in so much Cointreau that they were not drinkable. Not sure what the hype is all about.

Staff need to be more engaging. Eye contact and facial expressions need to be worked on. Food was ok, apps were better than the mains. Will come back for a cocktail and apps

Beautiful but Slow
What a great space with is high ceiling and bright, natural light, you'll want to stay all afternoon. Unfortunately how long it will take.
With multiple visits since opening I'd hope to see an improvement in the time it takes to get through an outing at Eliana's. That's not the case. Sure it's new and popular. There can be a wait and that's ok. The issue isn't the size as there's more than enough room at the bar, booths, and tables but the services is so slow the wait goes on. And not just slow service from the kitchen. Having Amat at the bar the drinks are refreshed, the waters not refilled and nor are the chips until you request it. I don't need an automatic refill but I do expect you to ask.
When you do get your food, well, meh is what you get. Slow service, mediocre food, no real smiles from the staff, a manger I kept seeing sitting down on a bar stool, all in a beautiful restaurant.
The margaritas are strong so maybe people forget how long they've been there.

A delicious mending of Mexican and comfort American food, paired with delectable cocktails and a bright atmosphere.

We had a late lunch here today. Heard good reviews on this restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful. The staff very nice, but service is slow. The salsa and chips wonderful, but none of us liked the guacamole. Tasted like it had too much lime, no salt. The cocktails very good but again very slow to get . Enchiladas and tacos great. Pozole was full of fat. Cost $220.00 for five . Two margaritas, one beer, one old fashioned.

3rd time eating here. Food still terrific, huge portions. Delicious guac and addictive chips and salsa. VERY good margaritas. Reserve well in advance, especially for a weekend night. With no res, you'll wait 90 minutes on a Fri/Sat. The pro tip is to go across the street to the win bar now run by for we Le Ciccia owners while you wait. ?
Vegetarian options: Leave out the meat and everything could be vegetarian.

Seems like wait times with reservations are completely arbitrary at this restaurant. 9PM reservation and our party still waited over an hour and a half. Multiple parties would come in and be seated before us. I don’t blame the staff but the processes they have set up to service patrons doesn’t make much sense to me. If you have a crowd of 20+ people waiting by the door to be seated, they should be regularly checked on and be given chips/salsa and orders from the bar.
We decided to go to the bar on our own to ask for drinks. Bartender we ordered from seemed pretty overwhelmed with orders considering he took our drink order and proceeded to go to the kitchen counter for the next 15 minutes to bus food orders to the bar. A great server named Natasha came to check on us and went up to the bartender to remind them to make our drinks.
By the time we were seated, most of us didn’t really have much of an appetite left. Food was ok but I don’t think I’d ever wait over an hour with a confirmed reservation in any city. Don’t want to blame the restaurant staff too much since they seemed overwhelmed but we’re generally annoyed at how disjointed the overall restaurant experience was. Don’t let patrons book certain time reservations if you’re going to force them to wait 90 minutes to be seated.
They need to figure out a better system to space out reservations or make it so that the bar is purely an area to wait for your table.

This place was happening on a Wed night— 2hr wait, but we were lucky to get seats for 3 at the bar. Had the quesabirria tacos, empanadas, esquites, tres leches — all of them were delicious. The restaurant was spacious and had beautiful interior. Highly recommend, but make sure to get a reservation
Lots a buzz about this place owned by the people who own Original Joes. It’s great what they have done with the interior which has trees and plants and high open wood frame ceilings with a wall of windows welcoming you in. The layout is so inviting and the staff is the best! A great team throughout the restaurant, Food is very good.
Note, there is not a ton of seating so there will be lines and a long wait list without reservations. We didn’t mind since the bar was great and we ended up staying at the bar for dinner for 3 of us, after waiting as walk-ins for over an hour for a table.
Love the neighborhood.

After trying to eat here for months my husband and I decided to just pick a date far in the future so we could get a reservation… we picked our wedding anniversary and I couldn’t think of a better choice.
The food was excellent (even the chips and salsa were delicious!) and the service was even better! Our waitress Natasha was incredible and really just made the entire experience! She’s a standout!
It takes planning to eat here but it certainly does live up to the hype!
