Elephant Sushi is one of my favorite spots for sushi. I was delighted to see they have one in Hayes Valley.

We came in early for a pre opera meal. Tried out a few recommended items by our waiter. Really appreciated the guidance as we were debating which items to try. All the sushi and the chip appetizer was delicious. Definitely coming back for more

Live in Hayes Valley? Love sushi? Elephant sushi is one of the best sushi restaurants in SFZ!

Fantastic sushi, large assortment, great seaweed salad & housemade pickles, and terrific ginger.

Maybe need more experience with this very ala cart restaurant. They were not able to Change or meet simple accomdatioms. Service was ok but very busy so felt staff was working top speed hoping to get their job done not a relaxing atmosphere

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived till we left. Superb attentive service with letting us set our own pace. Will definitely return ,

One of the most delicious and creative sushi and sashimi restaurants in San Francisco, using fresh and flavorful fish from the U.S., Japan, Norway and New Zealand. It also offers creative mix drinks and a decent selection of sake. Attentive and friendly service. Located two blocks from Davies Symphony Hall.

I would have given a more positive rating were it not for my being up in the middle of the night with a bad case of indigestion.

Service and atmosphere were pleasant, food is average and overpriced. Fish is supposedly from Toyosu in Tokyo but maybe the preparation didn't allow the sushi to shine? Was average tasting and expensive for what you get. Will try other places in the future. Had higher expectations for a birthday dinner. Thank you for the pleasant hospitality, however. Very kind staff.

We were in a rush which understandably is wrong for an omakase experience, waiter was fantastic Food initially felt like it took a moment to be released to us but then we realized the entire omakase plate was being crafted on one platter Overall, a great experience even though we were anxiously concerned about timing

Elena (Owner), Tiffany (Manager), and staff were very attentive to guests and ensured a pleasant dining experience with no complaints. The food quality matches the price point, and cocktail options are fun. Overall highly recommend for small groups and special occasions.

Rolls are tasty but teeny tiny! Go to Mamanoko for a slightly higher price but MUCH larger portion size with just as high of a quality of fish.
