Satisfying, no frills, no fuss basic San Francisco Chinese (not authentic Hunan). Good value for money. Great location - right on California. Airy and bight (lots of natural light) environment.\n\nHowever, put off by the service and attitude of the lady owner. Expressed irritation at being asked for a refill of soya sauce in addition to the hot sauce on the side. \n\nNot sure if the treatment is reserved for customers of a certain colour or nationality. This was our second visit...

Decades-long establishment serving Chinese standards in Lower Pac Heights. Specializing in Hunan and Mandarin cooking, many dishes come slightly sweet and a touch spicy.Long list of lunch specials with complimentary Egg Drop Soup. Hunan Fish, crispy fried and sautéed in savory-sweet sauce. While a bit more chili is welcome, the garlic and ginger add a nice fragrance.

A local took us here, one of his favorite places he has been to in San Francisco during his many years living in the city. We were not disappointed. If you are looking for very good Chinese dining downtown, here it is.
