I never get the combo plate and ordering the medium containers to go it always seem like its much more expensive than when I multiply by container. the one time I complained they right away took off one item. I think they size you up for the price. Today it was $23.70 for 3 medium containers at $4.30 each plus two potstickers! Maybe my math is off and I think the tax is a lot so basically its best to ask for a receipt if you don't just get the combo plate.

Easy Chinese takeout place. Great value, really affordable, super fast, and good taste. The general Tso’s chicken was super crispy still even after sitting a bit - loved it. I grabbed a plate here for around 11$ on a nice day and went to eat in civic center, great vibes!

I walked in here February 10 th 2025 approximately 3:30 pm to get a pork chop fried rice dinner I stood in the restaurant 20 minutes waiting for the pork chops to get done and once it was the Chinese lady the server was very rude to me threw my food & money at me very poor customer service. I won't ever buy so-called chinese food from here again

I appreciate a good Chinese fast take out joint, and this place is it. The location is convenient for me on the outskirts of the TL.
They have fair prices and you get a lot of food. Whether you're super hungry yourself or sharing a meal, there's great value here that's quick, and they have a variety of options to switch up your visits.
I always get half fried rice with half chow mein or chow fun. Then, for the other entree, selections rotate between sweet and sour pork, general tso chicken, mushroom chicken, tofu eggplant, BBQ pork, and beef broccoli. Today, they had salt and pepper fried fish for the special. My other favorite special is salt and pepper prawns and fried chicken.
Lines can build quickly during lunch, but they work pretty quickly. If you're looking for an affordable meal in the Civic Center Tenderloin area, consider this place. Be careful you will experience food coma after.

Picked up 3-entree plate for lunch. Good tasting food and they give you a lot of food. Vegetables are fresh and good quality and the meats are substantial and good cuts. Better quality than Panda Express. Efficient, friendly service.

This place is a life saver for the whole neighborhood. I love that this restaurant exists. The cook and the 2 main cashier women are super friendly, patient, and nice to everyone. This ESTABLISHMENT needs to be more recognized in SF.. They deserve to be recognized for their hard work and FRESH FOOD! I never gained a food sickness or food poisoning here. I've been a customer since 2017. Cheap, gourmet styled, and SUPER delicious, healthy, fast food. THANK YOU, EMPEROR'S KITCHEN! As a naive and a newby to the city, I'm very loyal to their restaurant!!
