Best Chinese bakery for cakes. Get the mango or fruit cake for your special occasion. My favorite is the fruit cake. It’s not like the fruit cake we know. It’s a sponge vanilla cake filled and topped with cream and fresh fruits.

The staff at this place always seem irritated and short-tempered with customers. I don't understand why the owner hasn't addressed this issue. The
woman in the picture is constantly losing her temper.

I had the worst customer service experience ever! The older woman who works there always seems to be in a hurry, rushing me to pick out my bread as if there’s a timer ticking and making me feel like I’m inconveniencing her. It’s disappointing when a place has good products but the service is so rushed and unfriendly.

The cashier lady who has short hair service attitude was sooooo terrible. I have been there for couple times. Every time she has ugly face. She should not be at the position of the front desk. UGLY!

Time and time again, the store employees at this location have been rude to me and my family. They hold no regard nor respect for their customers as they are impolite, impatient and arrogant. My mother has a “VIP” card for this chain (pictured) that is supposed to give a discount on purchases, which is stated directly on the back of the card. Three times now, my mother has not been given the discount even though my mother has held up the card in view of the employees who have said they “didn’t see the card and can’t do anything now that they have rung up the bill.” I have seen my mother hold up the card within 1 ft of their faces each time this has happened. It is not a matter of me wanting a few cents back from the store but the lack of accountability and understanding that these employees have. On a note about the atmosphere, the format of the store now with the desk 2 ft from the door where you put in your order rather than the walkable aisles displaying the different buns makes the store a lot less appealing and defeats the whole image of the store being a fun, little bakery. If you’d like to try some buns from this chain, I highly recommend another location; don’t come to this one.

This bakery has the best pork floss buns I’ve ever had. Every time my family visits, we make it a tradition to grab 30–50 buns to share with friends and family. The buns are perfectly soft and savory, with just the right amount of pork floss. Their other breads and pastries are equally amazing. This has been one of my favorite bakeries whenever I visit SF and it never disappoints. A must-visit for anyone who loves freshly baked treats!

I'm not really sure what the hype is about this one. The price is good and the pastries were okay but it just doesn't compete with some of the other bakeries.

It looks like they went with the covid restrictions and just stuck with them since it is only pickup now and the area to order is really tiny. There isn't a spot to see the menu from the outside so we had to look at the menu from the tiny pickup area inside and had to step away any time another customer came in to order since we were in the way when we were deciding.

Most of the options were bread or cakes so we just went with a sweet roll and a egg tart. While they were cheaper than some of the other bakeries, there really wasn't much to them and they didn't seem worth the price. The roll was just a semi sweet bread and the egg tart was an odd mix of sweet and savory.

The staff wasn't unfriendly but wasn't friendly either and the layout made it hard to ask questions.

Maybe it was just what we got but I left hoping for more.

Underrated Chinese bakery. Hands down the best bread in SF!

The attitude of the short-haired waiter is irritating, more annoying than paying for money! Take the current service attitude trend back to the 1970s!

You lost 2 stars for really not catering properly to your customers. The baked goods are very good. The taro bun options included some i have never seen before. It is hard to choose what you want to buy when your basically standing 2 feet in the door and all the items are not in full view. Also when the customer behind you is breathing down your neck it just feels so rushed that i didnt get to buy everything that i would have bought. It is time to go back to normal and serve your customers properly. But i really doubt the owners care about the customers.

Super fun lil hole in the wall spot a door or two down from the corner of bacon and San Bruno ave, there is a language barrier the only English words they seem to understand are the translation of the food items and how many you. Pineapple bun is by far the BEST option in my opinion super fluffy flaky and just downright amazing would recommend 10/10

The buns here are classic, with good taste and style and reasonable prices. However, the staff here have a bad attitude. They often make you feel their unfriendly behavior towards guests, and there is no free choice here, it is more like a takeaway service. .
