My husband had heard about this restaurant so we decided to make a quick lunch stop after flying into town. The food tasted great and the portions were really generous. Looking forward to revisiting when we come back to town.

Great food in San Fran. We had Sesame Chicken with Broccoli. Chicken Fried Rice, and dumplings with chili sauce. All of it was affordable, and amazing!

Incredible experience in San Francisco.Don't look at the menu, just ask the chef to surprise you, and you'll discover a non-stop burst of flavors.Truly had a real unique lunch. And went back for a diner the day after. And will go back at any chance next time in SF.Don't miss it out, reallly.

This is one of the best restaurants in the city! And they have so much that caters to every dietary desire. The fact that is the same family that owns House and Nanking definitely says something. Every time I come to town, I dine here! Amazing!

Some of the best food I've eaten. Atmosphere is a couple of copies of a giant picture of Keanu Reeves filming there on the wall, which hey, is pretty dope.

Very very disappointed. The ambiance is okay but the food was terrible and awful.Tried this place because we were staying at the W Hotel next door. We ordered the Dry Braised Green Bean, but it was so wet and saucy. There's more onion in the dish then green beans. The dish should be renamed Fried Onion with Green Beans in lots of soy sauce. The "White Fish w/ Charred Broccoli served in their famous house secret sauce" is essentially lots of greasy mustardy-mayonnaise sauce poured over charred broccoli and fried fish. I almost wanted to get a bowl of water to wash away the sauce before eating. It's one of the most awful food I have ever had.Google should allow reviews with zero star, which is what I would rate this place. Never to return or recommend to anyone. I am typically too lazy to comment or write review, but feel I have to do it this time.

All the food was delicious, quick service too.Downside -1 is the food was very oily, and they don't offer any options for pescatarian.I couldn't eat meat on the day, and had to go for all the vegetarian tofu items since they didn't offer any fish items.1. Fang's Steamed Buns - Tofu & Chicken - both good! I had the tofu and liked it. People on the table loved the chicken.2. Vegetable Wontons tossed w/ Eggplant in Garlic Sauce -nice wontons, and the eggplant was lovely! Definitely had a lot of those eggplant plain with that garlic sauce.3. Panfried Veggie Wontons, served with sesame chili sauce -I didn't try this, but the person next to me did. Crispy and they looked good!4. Chili potato green bean-OMG SO GOOD! I'm not usually a fan of green beans, but this was delicious! Good amount of spice, perfect with the caramelized onions, and the potato was superior!5. Tofu in Black Bean Sauce w/ brocolli -Probably my favorite of everything!! That black bean sauce with th broccoli - SO FREAKING GOOD! I could have this on-repeat! Tofu was not even needed, hahaDownside was that thwre was a lot of oil on here :(6. Crispy Honey Tofu in Sweet Mayo Sauce, bok choy -Tofu was nice and flavorful and went well with the sauce. Love that they had so many veggies too. Sauce was nice as well.7. Sesame Chicken with sweet potato -The chicken was crispy and coated in a sweet soy glaze, but barely any chicken. I didn't like this. The Sweet potato though? This was amazing! I'd ask for the sweet potato plain!8. Sauteed Ginger Chicken, soy, garlic, chili and zucchini -Really good and healthy lean protein source! Looks like it was chicken breast with I definitely appreciate! Big chunks of chicken too, and didn't look like it was too oily either.9. Fang's Crispy Honey Chili Shortribs with bok choy-Husband loved this! I only tried it the next day as leftovers but the beef was still very flavorful. He said it was very extremely delicious and melt-in-your-mouth soft when fresh.10. Sesame balls with chocolate filling -They brought this for dessert and I think it was a little too much. Too much food at the end of it all and these didn't taste anything special. There was a chocolate filling inside but the coating around. It was so thick that the chocolate didn't come through as much.

This is very authentic Chinese. Half of our dishes were great and others were odd. A man came up to us as we sat down and asked if we had been there before. We had not, and he took our menus and said I’ll get you what you need! Unfortunately, food after food after food came. The 4 of us had a total of 4 beers and 2 glasses of wine and our bill was $415. We were in shock. Had we known we were getting a tasting menu, we would not have done this. It was off putting and we received several dishes we would have never ordered. Nice people there but that was off putting.

Wonderful lunch with friends. The owner ordered for us, so we had delicious spareribs, chicken in steamed dough, shrimp skewers, clam soup, short rib cubes, and countless other goodies.

A uniquely different take on Chinese cuisine, a nice downtown option for the adventurous.Wor Wonton Soup served slightly spicy, in a cream broth, with sizzling rice and a heaping portion of shellfish. While digressing from the classically traditional, Chef-owner Fang comes table side to help guide first time diners. A suggested entree included a combination of walnut shrimp with fried broccoli and beef, tasty, but a bit heavy on salt.Overall, a good option when in the mood for something new and novel.

Had a good meal here with a large group (18 or so) on very short notice. They were able to seat us all together and were able to serve a variety of good dishes family style without us having to coordinate anything. The food was maybe a bit overly sweet for my tastes but it was definitely a good meal.

Love Fang. It is best to work with Peter Fang - share food desires/requirements with him, and let the kitchen bring out the best selections for a special evening of dining. It is my preferred way to experience Fang. The food is exceptional, and they are skilled at working with groups. It is truly a treasure, with a great location and plenty of parking around Moscone Center.

The menu is strange. Mostly fried chicken dishes. We ordered salt and pepper prawns. Not a speck of pepper visible. We ordered chicken with chili sauce and long beans and asked that it not be too hot. What we got was chicken and broccoli in a white sauce, which turned out to be mayonnaise and mustard seeds. The person who served it to us said it was chef's secret sauce. She didn't know. The original server thought he was being helpful. My husband liked beef and there was one beef offering. We were disappointed in the selection, the execution, and the experience.

The owner greeted us and insisted he order for us. He brought out food we didn't want or like, such as soy braised hard boiled eggs, short rib cubes, sweet fried chicken, raw bok choy, etc. The water for hot tea was tepid as if from a tap, definitely not boiled. I paid $300 for a meal I wanted to spend $150 on. Food is swathed in sweet sauce and all of it is fried. I was not impressed by any dish and will not return. Overall the experience was underwhelming.
