What a lovely spot that feels like community. Excellent coffee, thoughtfully curated reading materials, relaxed employees and as a result patrons. Will be back again and again.
Friendly staff. Great coffee and cappuccinos.

This shop is indeed popular and the coffee is good. I got the seasonal pumpkin iced latte and it is on point. I probably should get the hot version so that it doesn't dilute over time. I love the vibe of a local neighborhood where people pass by petting dogs and such.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Farley’s for about six years, and I’ve always appreciated having a local spot to grab coffee and connect with my community. However, my most recent visit left me deeply disappointed and hurt.
While waiting for my drink, I was sitting at a table on FaceTime with my sister. I recently lost my headphones and am currently on crutches recovering from knee surgery, so I didn’t have another way to chat quietly. Out of nowhere, the barista, a man named Drake, singled me out in front of the entire café and told me to “turn that down.”
The tone and manner in which this was said were not only unprofessional but also deeply inappropriate. It felt less like a request and more like a public scolding. As a Black woman, being told to “pipe down” or “turn that down” in such a setting carries an ugly historical weight, one rooted in stereotypes about Black women being “too loud” or “too much.” This wasn’t just a moment of poor judgment; it felt like a racialized aggression disguised as customer management.
I’ve supported this café for years and have always valued being part of the neighborhood community, but this experience made me feel unseen, disrespected, and unwelcome. I truly hope Farley’s takes this feedback seriously and provides better training on cultural sensitivity and respectful communication, because no one deserves to be publicly embarrassed or singled out for simply existing in a space they’ve long supported.
The stuff is friendly, plenty of space to seat down and work if you wish. The food is great but coffee I got wasn’t good - too strong, bitter it reminded of cheaper end beans - I’m common at other spots maybe my taste is towards subtle/smooth but definitely wasn’t the best cappuccino I’ve got.

I love this place, it’s been part of my daily routine for years. I’ve seen 3-4 generations of baristas go through there and all of them have been wonderful.
The atmosphere is perfect. It’s inviting, bright, and has a great amount of chatter and conversations happening throughout the day.
The staff is great, all with their own personalities and shiny qualities. They are sincere and I love that.
The espresso based drinks are full of flavor and made with love.
The array of magazines in the back corner are a perfect touch.
My favorite cafe of all time, without a doubt.
If you’re not into it or have ever felt slighted there, you’re probably one of those socially disconnected people, the victim type.

Nothing special. Just an average cafe that you could easily find anywhere.

Had a lovely cup of tea + some awesome tasting matcha latte - it was SO vibrantly green and flavorful. So hard to find good matcha in the city.

I got their fall pumpkin latte here on a Saturday that had the creeping breeze of fall. I asked for less sweet and I do not regret that at all since that was perfect for me. The barista was incredibly friendly and they drew a nice heart on my latte. It had the nice spice kick and I sat in the cafe with my partner and played one of the board games they had put out for people. There’s a large window to look through and the smell of coffee surrounds you. I would definitely recommend.
