Such a hidden gem - One of the best Thai restraunts Iv'e had in the Bay Area! They have a main menu that mostly contains the more standard Thai dishes that might see at a lot of other places. But they also have a hidden menu with some really unique Thai dishes that I haven't seen very often here but had when I visited Thailand and this brought back tons of memories! For the 2 of us, we got the fresh raw shrimp appetizer, papaya salad with blue crab, crab omlette, and stir fried morning glory. All the dishes were yum, but the first 2 were quite spciy! Servers are also super friendly and price is very reasonable for SF especially considering its location in the Marina. Highly recommend!

Great selection! I recommend the shrimp cakes. Our server made excellent suggestions on which wines to pair with our seafood.

Thai restaurant that opened recently. Menu is pretty small I'm comparison to competitors, but overall selection was half expected and half special with things one normally do not see at a Thai restaurant. For example, instead of the usual coconut milk Thai shrimp or chicken soup, theirs was with clams. Instead of papaya salad with shrimp, theirs was with raw blue crab. Overall food was authentic and delicious. Service was a tad slow. Drinks was limited to cocktails but with sake and soju and small selection of wine. Ambiance was spacious, clean and nice. Price was within range of usual sf restaurant. With four items splitting and portioned perfectly, it came out to be $60/person including tax and tip. Will return.

The space looked newly renovated, spacious and upscale. The seafood tasted fresh, my favorite were the stir fried clams which were super flavorful. I would skip on the Drunken Noodles, they were definitely not the usual thai Drunken noodles-- seemed to be egg noodles with seafood. Wasn't the table's favorite or what we expected but everything else was great.

I can only wish these guys the best of luck! We came on a Friday for lunch and it was empty. The service was friendly and efficient. The interior is tasteful and the food was outstanding. Plates beautifully and super fresh.will come back with a larger group so that we can order and share more things The prawns were especially tasty as was the fresh crab fried rice.

After not doing reviews for awhile, this place has sparked interest in doing one because the food and service was so great!! I remember being sad that this place replaced the Vietnamese restaurant that was here before, but this is definitely an upgrade from that. For food I order the muscle curry which was amazing. The muscles were huge and the pineapples chunks balanced the spice of the dish over all. The coconut cream was a great addition to it as well. The drunken noodles my boyfriend ordered was a delicious mix of flavors and the noodles were cooked just right. Our appetizer of the shrimp croquette as well was a bit more of the crispier side but nonetheless still enjoyable. I am simply surprised this place isn't getting more attention. Their attention to detail, service, and food makes you feel like you're dining at a Michelin. Hope this places gets the attention it deserves. It's perfect for an intimate dinner and even smaller groups.

I am pleased to recommend Fin Thai SF, a new business. The "Fin" of the name refers to seafood. The cuisine is Thai in origin, though they will work with you on how spicy it is. Our group of five was delighted to have eaten there. We had been at a cultural event that afternoon at the Palace of Fine Arts. One in our party had found this place on line and made reservations. I see it as a responsibility to use social media platforms, such as Yelp, as thoughtfully as possible. That includes promoting what ought to succeed. This would be an example. Needless to say, I am a stranger to them. I have no relationship whatsoever. That is why it is meaningful to say a few words that are positive. It is all the more imperative if you can offer a compliment to those who deserve it but for whatever reason have not yet been noticed. I would bet the reason is they have been around only two months in an area that has considerable competition. Those with whom I partook of the excellent dishes remarked we would like to come back; they encouraged me to say a word here. The truth is we probably won't be back any time soon, because three of the five live in Silicon Valley, and are in the city only intermittently, while my wife and I are on the other side of town. But I would say that for Thai that has this quality, which I sampled in Bangkok and have available in Queens, New York City, where I reside (my wife is in SF, hence many flights), this has to rank high for the Bay Area. I won't say "authentic," since I am inexpert, the term is rightly contested, and cultures are/should be dynamic; if that is a word you are comfortable with, feel free to apply it -- for example, what is not available is the cloying sweet pad thai that Americans have become familiar with, and that is a fine omission. The food was fresh and high quality and well prepared. That might all seem to be a given. It is not. Beyond that, however, it was priced in a manner (gratuity included, with an option to add more) that was reasonable. That is not always the case in the city, especially in a fashionable neighborhood such as where this is situated. We walked in and admired the light fixture that looks as if it were inspired by Ruth Asawa. The space is airy. The bathroom tiles also are pleasing. So the decor is an Asian inflected minimalist style. Here is what we had. We started with the shrimp cake. This is a compliment, not a criticism: these things were huge. You should split them. We were upsold to two orders, which was not needed. But they were crisp, with moderate filler, and not as dense as places that have a similar offering (which improves the mouthfeel). We had five main dishes. That was sufficient for leftovers that would constitute a meal for one or perhaps if supplemented for two. The highlight was the fish special. It was $59. That is a fair price. I'm not a proponent of Thomas Aquinas's "just price theory," and I doubt anybody who has studied economics argues for its adoption, but I note the outrage over dynamic pricing suggests we all have within us a sense it ought not be violated. We also had the clams. Those were tasty, and I wish there were more. We had morning glory. That is a green I always try to eat more vegetables, a guideline observed in the breach, alas, and morning glory is among my favorites, with snow pea sprouts and watercress. Also known as water spinach or in Chinese "empty heart," it was acceptable, enhanced (for those who wanted the effect, which was only me at the table) by Thai peppers. Those are spicy. We requested the waiter teach us the word for so hot even the Thai perceive it as too hot, and he told us, cautioning that there are many phrases (corresponding to the Scoville scale), and the specific word he shared was considered not that polite. We also had crab fried rice and seafood drunken noodles. Each of those was a fine dining version of what you could get from a carryout joint. That means it had greater complexity of flavors, not just one spice. It is a privilege to be am

Highly recommend this restaurant. Great foods and fairly priced. Very beautiful interior, and the noise isn't too loud. It has a vibe of an upscale restaurant by the beach, which is perfect for date night. Loved their oyster shooter, spicy&sour seafood soup, and steamed sea bass. Most foods are served medium spicy, but for the authentic thai taste, you can ask for thai spicy.
