We were seated in the back room which has less ambiance than the first room with the bar and the main dining room. The service was friendly but was slow at the beginning. The food was solid, but the Alfredo pasta and cannoli had some textural issues. My husband did enjoy the osso buco with polenta.
I decided to come to Fior d' Italia for my 18th birthday dinner, and me and my family had THE BEST time!! I'm so happy I came here. The food and service is always so amazing!
Fior d'Italia has held a special place in my heart since earning my undergraduate degree at San Francisco State University, and I was lucky enough to secure a table on the 100th anniversary of the restaurant in, ahem, 1986. Although it was forced to move from its iconic location a few years back due to a devastating fire, the owners, chefs, and wait staff have risen like a Phoenix from the literal ashes. The sights, the smells, and the tastes of old world Italy come shining...
