Excellent menu and food was great with many vegetarian options if you have any in your party. Service was a little on the slower side, but very nice.

If you're looking for a gluten-free restaurant with absolutely AMAZING food, AMAZING ambience, and an even more AMAZING staff? This is it! We couldn't possibly say enough good things about Firefly, A+ across the board, we can't wait to go back!

We're from Santa Cruz but make a point of stopping in at Firefly every time we come through San Francisco. For those restricted to vegetarian/pescatarian diets, you can have a field day here. I'm not an expert on wine, but the wine list always looks strong to me too. Treat yourself!

Really happy with this restaurant. I have quite a bit of restrictions and they were extremely accommodating. This is the first time it wasn't an issue or an annoyance to edit the menu. Food was delicious from starters to the desert. The crew was amazing also, professional, efficient and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Thank you for another fabulous meal, cozy atmosphere, and terrific service! The food is so delicious, and the fact that it is gluten-free, and some dishes even Vegan, is such a huge benefit that is so appreciated! We have been going to Firefly for decades and are so happy they are still thriving. We will be back soon!

Creative and high quality — we eat here all the time so tried some new things that were AMAZING. Shrimp and grits, eggplant escalope, and sweet potato kugel were yummy and satisfying. Olive oil pistachio cake was so good. Love this place.

So rare to be able to hear your friends in a restaurant these days. Thanks for that The dishes were wonderful. Especially the fish risotto and the lentil appetizer. Great service. Keep smiling

Service was great. The food was heavy, overcooked. The brisket was cut the wrong way making it tough and like brisket should be.

LOVE this place!!!! I was so happy with their vegan options - great flavors and mix of textures! Everything is gluten free so I didn't have a stomachache after. We got the watermelon and tomato salad, griddled daikon radish cakes, sweet potato tostones, sweet potato poblano kugel, and sticky banana cake with rum butterscotch sauce and ginger ice cream. Watermelon/tomato salad was to die for! But it was the last night they were making it. Radish cakes were amazing. Tostones are good if you want something sweet. Kugel needed more acid - I added lime and dipped it in the daikon radish cake sauce which was perfect. I'm not a "cake" fan, but my friend liked it. I want to go back and try the eggplant entre and brussel sprouts. They also had great non-alcoholic drinks for people who can't/don't drink alcohol. The sparkling rose hit the spot!!! We ate at the bar and enjoyed talking with Gabby (bartender) - she's awesome and made good recommendations :) Definitely going back there.

Firefly was, as always, a special and delightful meal. We enjoyed our food and found that parklet dining was not only quite comfortable, but also quiet. Service continues to be stellar.

Amazing stuff. Very aware of gluten allergies which is critical for me. Tasty good, easy parking, great neighborhood vibe.

We absolutely love this play and try as often as possible to visit when we are in town. We lived in the neighborhood for many years, and it was our go to local spot. This time we lucked out while we were on a walk that morning. We walked by to check the menu and just so happen to encounter the chef Hayley. She was delightful and shared some things about the menu as she had sprinkled in some Jewish dishes in celebration of Rosh Hashanah. We had the chicken livers at her suggestion which were definitely different for us and yummy. We also had the cheesy buns and the sweet corn cakes which were over the top. To round it out we shared the brisket (melt in your mouth) and the Mac and cheese. It all was amazing and we rounded it out with the sticky rum cake that was also amazing. We had a blast and can't wait to return.

Always creative & delicious. Love the twice a year Jewish food menu adds. Sooo good. One negative feedback from last night - the coffee was weak.

We consider ourselves fortunate to live within easy walking distance of such a fine restaurant as Firefly. We have been going there since they opened decades ago and we are never disappointed. The food is consistently good, the menu interesting and the staff couldn't be more competent and friendly.
