I have loved Firefly for decades. It is my favorite place to go for any kind of celebration, for a meet up with friends, for a special night with my husband or really just for any occasion. Their food is delicious, creative, satisfying, sustainable, eco-conscious, and all the things you'd want. The only complaint I have is that if we come with a group of over six people (we were seven), they add a mandatory 25% gratuity. I understand that a large group can be an extra work...
Our server Dulce (spelling?) was excellent. Food equally exceptional. We dined in original dining area and was quaint, simple, and very casual. Space a little tight but still a great experience. We enjoyed our meal very much and look forward to returning. ... AND as a side note the hot sauce is outstanding and can be sold to go !! ... and the cheesecake !!!
Firefly is always a safe choice. One only doesn't go more often because the menu is... stable. On the other hand we appreciate that they keep some of our favourite dishes like the Brazilian ones. The food is always delicious (although way too salty this last time especially the watermelon salad and the lamb). This being said; this is one of SF best places for fine dining.
