Octopus with hunar begendi sauce? I am baffled why a pureed eggplant with lemon zest and aged sharp cheese would work with octopus? This is a classic lamb dish my husband ( a chef specializing in Eastern Mediterranean cuisine kniws quite well).
An octopus variant was lacking , watery, and literally, a fish out of water.
Laughable dish bearing no similarities to the original.
The Octopus very tough and chewy.
Somebody may need to review cooking lessons on Octopus, this meal disappointed in many ways.
The haloumi salad. STUNNING.
FISH AND CHIPS, DELICIOUS.
LOSE ThE octopus

I’ll begin by saying I’d had several nice meals since this long-shuttered establishment re-opened, but all of that was undone in one terrible night.
I brought a large group of friends for a weeknight dinner. When we arrived we ordered an pricy bottle of champagne. The waiter served it, and then explained that the kitchen was out of more than half of the entrees including all of the fish dishes. Felt a little bait-and-switch with the expensive bottle already open, but fine. We ordered a combination of things including starters as mains for a few of us.
After the first course was served, the waiter returned with “bad news”: The starter I’d chosen for my main was also out. I gave up and said I would just have nothing for dinner. The main course was served and one of my guests got nothing – he had also ordered the same starter as me, but the server didn’t tell him or give him a chance to order something else. We complained and the waiter told us he thought I had been coordinating everyone’s order and when I chose to have nothing he assumed my friend did as well.
I asked to speak to the manager, to which the server responded he was the manager.
As my friends continued eating, a gentleman came out from the back and said he was the owner. From the opposite end of the 8-top, he proceeded give three half apologies, each time saying “I’m sorry, but…”. First “it’s Tuesday”, then “we didn’t expect you all to come in at once,” and finally “what do you want me to do.”
At this point I was flustered. His tone was all wrong and he offered nothing tangible to make up for the poor experience. I told him heatedly that what I wanted was for him to genuinely apologize and to think about what he could do to make up for the bad experience. He was yelling at us at this point and said we were welcome to leave.
He went back to the back and soon after the check came. No further apology. No further action to make the terrible experience right. And most importantly, no acknowledgement of how poorly he and his staff had handled the situation.
It pains me to not return to this establishment because I live in the neighborhood and love the space, but the total disregard for his customers disqualifies the owner from my patronage. I encourage everyone else to avoid this place because of their toxic owner. Hopefully when they close a better business will emerge from its ruins.

Incredibly friendly people and great service. And the atmosphere is wonderful. The renovation makes the space the most beautiful it's ever been. Our new favorite place to dine in SF. We are so grateful that this famous location is now open for business and even more grateful for the quality of food, drinks, and service.

It could be good but the owner and service ruin it. The location continues to be delightful! Unfortunately they were out of half the mains but only told us after we’d ordered our first round of drinks. Later we learned a couple of apps we ordered were not available but only half the table was informed. The owner was completely unapologetic and was in fact aggressive about the situation. Later we were served “extra” calamari. After the whole debacle, no apologies. Just avoid shitty service and mid food.

Vibrant and clean place. Went for brunch and sat on the really nice patio. This place has tons of atmosphere and the service was friendly and professional. Lattes were excellent. The crab croque-madame was delightful and the potato hash was nice but a bit dry and was lacking some acidity. Mostly, both dishes could be elevated with a few pieces of fresh fruit on the side to contrast with their richness. Small details like that would make those dishes 5 stars and support the high price. Overall, this place has a lot of potential and we will be back.

They are a mess. They added items to our bill we didn’t order and served someone from our party that cant eat crustaceans the wrong dish which had crab. This seems to be a repeat issue as a friend had the exact same situation happen to her a few weeks before. The owner handled the situation extremely poorly and the waiter even got mad that we didn’t provide a good tip after this situation occurred.

I recently visited Fisch & Flore, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. First off, the prices were way too high for what you get. I don't mind paying more for quality, but the food and experience just weren't worth it. The biggest issue, though, was the indoor seating. It was incredibly hot and humid inside--there was no air conditioning! We were sweating through the entire meal, and it was hard to enjoy the food in such uncomfortable conditions. To top it off, when we arrived, we were greeted by Stephanie, who seated us. I use the term 'greeted' loosely because she was far from friendly. No smile, no warmth--she just seemed like she didn't want to be there. It really set a negative tone for the entire experience. I had high hopes for Fisch & Flore, but between the overpriced menu, unbearable heat, and unwelcoming service, I can't say I'll be coming back anytime soon.

Devastated that this revitalized corner can host a place so cute, so vibe-y and have such mediocre food. The oysters were chewy, the halibut crudo was chewy, the tomato burrata salad was huge but fairly tasteless... There is so much potential here being wasted.
The drinks are quite good. Props to the bartender and to the attentive staff. But I can't really recommend this place for anything beyond that.
Please, owners, hear my pleas and reconsider the menu.
