Fisherman’s Wharf Chowder and Crab Sidewalk Stands

Very nice area, and the chowder wasn't bad. Cashier helps, but the remaing staff was a bit.... unpleasant for there to be so many other vendors around ESPECIALLY the one on the corner that I stopped by originally. Chowder was thick thick and a little bland compared to the others out there but was still ok.

We use to live in San Rafael for many years.
The beautiful California, ocean and mountains. Breathe taking views. Every Saturday we went for dinner. We love crabs. In February/2022 we visited San Francisco and were very sad and disappointed. Fishermas Wharf itself was just horrible. filth Dirty , smelly and loads of homeless, but the views of the bay are lovely....and you can see Alcatraz Island from the wharf.

Sooo delicious!!! Me and my boyfriend had the crab chowder which we loved.
We were walking around, trying to find somewhere with good clam chowder and stumbled upon this amazing place. Staff was so kind and friendly, helping us minutes before closing which we didn’t know. I was so thankful they still served us because I was so hungry and the food was absolutely amazing.
They have seatings outside with heaters. It’s a lovely little gem.

The traditional soup on bread is good, but I think just to try it and have the experience... The snacks and pizza are tastier.The most negative point of this unit is the fact that there is no bathroom on site. If you want to use the bathroom, you will have to go to the public bathroom outside the restaurant.

This was such a great experience! The crab chowder was delicious at Chowder Hut! We had great service and great atmosphere and great food and drinks.
