Delicious food. Jared and the host staff took above and beyond excellent care of us after two incredibly rude male customers (pictured-someone call their mothers- lol) took it upon themselves to swipe our table we had been waiting 20 minutes for, even after I approached them nicely and told them it was ours. I even explained to the 2 guys that due to a medical issue I needed a chair with a back, rather than a stool, and they still wouldn’t budge, and seemed pleased with themselves for just sitting down without checking in with the host. The entire staff was apologetic about the situation and handled the two pricks and the situation it put them in with class, even when I wished to handle it less so after a couple drinks :). We waited a little longer but let me tell you it was worth it!
The food was amazing and they were attentive to my two allergies (gluten and avocado) and made sure it was safe. Everything was super delicious and the vibe was nice too once the pricks left! :).

Flores is great, whether I am dining in the restaurant or ordering takeout. The food is delicious--my favorites are the carnitas tacos and the ensalada mixta.

Garbage
The red rice was dry.
Fish taco had no flavor & michelada wasn’t anything other than tomato juice.
My friend got dorado a la vercruzana and we found out that the rice beans and tortillas are add one ????
The wife got a chile relleno and it was decent but not an actual relleno
Definitely white or hipster Hispanic food

Very cool spot on Union. The ambiance inside and out is great but it is super noisy inside when it's crowded. Food was very tasty. Drinks on happy hour are a pretty good deal but they use lots of ice so not the best deal. Service was very slow. We were seated without menus and had to flag someone down after 10 min and another 15 to place our order. Waitress didn't acknowledge or apologize for the wait. Fortunately the support staff is on it and once order is finally placed, you get food and drinks quickly
Solid spot for happy hour! Would recommend for a drink after work!

4.5 overall; Flores offers a satisfying dining experience. Their bowls (we tried the chicken and pork) are a must-try, packed with fresh flavors. While the tacos were decent, they didn't quite hit the mark. However, the tres leches was an absolute standout. It was incredibly moist and flavorful, a perfect sweet ending to the meal.

The music at this establishment is deafening. It's impossible to talk to anyone, unless you're shouting. We made a reservation, yet were expected to wait an additional 30 minutes to get a table outside, as requested. The food is entirely too overpriced for the portions and underseasoning. Margaritas were fair, but didn't have enough alcohol for the $14 price tag. It was busy, being a Friday night and all, but it was quite challenging to flag down anyone for anything. Lastly, they charged us for a single sliced lime, that we had to ask 4 different people for. I've never heard of being charged for a lime or lemon. My dinner companion was baffled by that, and says will never come back. This place had great potential for me, but fell beyond flat. I'm so disappointed that I even suggested coming here to try it..
Delicious food and very friendly attentive service! The visual ambiance is fantastic but noise level almost intolerable. Love the fun party atmosphere and lots of people celebrating birthdays but some noise absorbing rugs or other fixtures and turning down the music when it gets extra loud could help. But will still definitely keep coming back!
Planned my son's 13th birthday.. it was a surprise party. Michael Aldridge was helpful and easy to work with. Our servers were great and the food is always delicious which is why I chose Flores. We love the fish tacos! Thank you for making my son's surprise party amazing!
We have been here many times but last night was disappointing. The tacos were stale and very chewy and the fillings over cooked. The Enchiladas were very good though and the guacamole is always excellent. Call me old if you like but the noise level inside was just too much.
For people of color visiting this restaurant, I would reconsider. Two visits and both visits I've been asked to sit in the back of the back part of the restaurant which strangely has always has a bit more people of color seated. The front of the restaurant with the lights and more energy tends to always have more white individuals. I have been able to switch my table both times however the host/hostess were quite reluctant both times. The second time I was told "you need to have certain things" to be seated in the more lit/energetic part of the restaurant. Just for the record, I've been living in SF for 3.5 years and have not observed this sort of obvious discrimination in other places. When you make a reservation for this restaurant there is no place where it says you're booking a certain part of the restaurant. If a table is open and available in the front area, it should be offered to whoever comes to the restaurant first. As a person of color, racial discrimination in a restaurant is not an uncommon occurrence, however it is truly frustrating.
