We return to Florio time and again because everything about it hits the mark. The menu has reliable regulars, but the specials often steal the show. We find the service attentive but not over the top, and the ambiance is second to none. It is a perfect date-night spot, or if you have a table of 6 and can score the private room, it's wonderful for a birthday dinner. A+++

I was impressed with the number of Sicilian influenced dishes on the menu. Delicious. The crostini with fig, prosciutto, and burrata appetizer was flavorful, but lacking somewhat due to the small portion size. My guest asked, is there prosciutto on it? When I make this at home, it will have full flavors of each ingredient. Notwithstanding, Florio's kitchen definitely gets a thumbs up.

The food was excellent. Our server was kind and able to provide great recommendations. There are lots of options for someone who is Gluten free, as well. The cocktails were AMAZING!

We're so embarrassed that we haven't been here in years. The boulevard is better than ever, the end of the season corn & crab ravioli was delicate and sweet. We shared the mussels to start and while not a big portion a perfect thing to whet our appetites. The duck confit with farro was rich and not heavy at the same time. I'm still not sure how they made the olive oil cake so unbelievable moist; but it was! Scrumptious. Cocktails were to die for. The raspberry gin fizz was so good we had to have a Second round. We were surprised and happy to see a waiter we had known pre-covid still there and still a perfect server-thank you Jerry!

From the minute you enter Florio-the vibe is welcoming and like old New York City restaurant. The warm reception of the host and the waiters make the evening begin well. Cocktails, bar and wines are great. The food is delicious and their specials are tasty. One of the best hamburgers in town-they keep it simple and the pickles are my favorite! Wonderful place for an intimate dinner. Hard not to go there several times a week-yes, it is that good!

The star of this experience was the food each entrée was excellent. The service also was good. The only problem was we were way too close to the next table and the now is level got boisterous and I could not hear my dinner companion. Our reservation works for seven and by 8:00. It was simply too loud. However, I highly recommend this restaurant

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Cozy and interesting surrounds. The chicken Milanese and pasta was exactly what I wanted! Great service and reasonably priced. I'll definitely return. Thank you!

Always have to dine at this restaurant when I am in SF. My favorite! We had a great table in the front window. Such a cozy & inviting space. Our waiter was perfect. Food was fantastic. Only wish they had a salmon on the menu.

Everything was pretty good. Particularly the arancini appetizer and the Fillmore East cocktail. Service was fantastic and a nice date vibe. Only slight gripe is entree price was a bit high for quality and portion size, but overall very good.

Have eaten at Florio many times, and maybe this was an “off night” for the chef. Food is usually great across all menu categories. But the seasonal watermelon salad was uninspired and quite average. Tiramisu dessert was nice except for chocolate drizzle that tasted like Hershey's chocolate syrup. I'll be back for another try and see if tonight's average food was a fluke or an indicator of decline.

First time at this restaurant. Have walked by a lot and thought it looked charming. We ordered the stuffed squash blossoms as a starter, a seasonal favorite. They were well flavored but a bit greasy. My dining companion had the ravioli with artichoke and preserved lemon, it was quite good. I ordered the cici and Pepe pasta. It was a huge disappointment. This is a dish I love and should be creamy and flavorful. It was bland and salty, nearly inedible. I asked for more parmasan, dumped some olive oil on it, topped it with the leftover olive tapenade and was able to eat it, but regretted that I did. If we come back, I'll avoid the pasta dishes. The menu said the pastas are homemade but this spaghetti tasted like it was out of the box. Very cute place but not sure if we will return. Nice wine list though.
