This review is about the Sacramento Street, SF, location. Flora (I've forgotten her title; maybe Special Events Coordinator) is terrific. Super professional and helpful, and I can always rely on Flora and the staff at Focaccia to prepare my order just as I've requested it. I order for largish groups on a regular basis, and the orders are always fulfilled correctly, and on time Special requests, such as setting a sandwich apart from the platter and marking it accordingly, have been accommodated nicely. Flora (and the rest of the team) have made it much easier for me to do my job. Thanks, Flora and team!

I ordered coffee on a recent visit. I asked for 1/2 and 1/2 to cream my coffee. They only had 1% milk. I asked for cream. They said, "most people like the 1%." I said, "I'm not one of those people." I asked for a refund because so don't drink Black coffee. I have never received it. Avoid this place if you expect extremely common condiments like actual cream or 1/2 and 1/2 to cream your coffee.

Every time I come here and order online they put the wrong items on my salad. I asked for green beans, I get edemame. I asked for tuna tartar, I get poke. Read the friggin order. Other times I've placed orders online and get there, no customers inside. But they didn't take the time to check the online orders. So I have to wait with everyone else who walked in the door as if I ordered in store. Get it together!!!!!

The cinnamon bun I had was delicious, crunchy and moist on the inside but Ive had bagels here that are just okay. I would certainly return to try more pastries

Did I just stumble upon my new office day lunch spot? I think I did! In need of a quick lunch, I was walking along Market St. and noticed a newer spot that I haven't seen before. (turns out the reopened about a month ago) The inside of this place is pretty spacious, but the menu is kinda confusing at first, I had to think really hard to figure out what was going on. I hoped in the 'hot plate' lunch line, and decided to go with the skirt steak, which comes with two sides for $17.99. I went with the salad, mac n cheese, and a topping of chimchurri on the steak. If you want light salad dressing be sure to ask before they start because they piled it onto the salad. The mac n cheese was hella good, creamy, delicious, everything you'd want in a side of mac. The steak is already prepared, but was surprisingly tender and tasty. The portion sizes was crazy! This was enough for 2 meals, but of course I ate it in one go, and was ready for a nap afterwards. I came a little after the lunch rush (after 1pm) and was in n out in less than 10 minutes. If you are in need of a quick, filling, and tasty lunch that won't break the bank, this place was it for me.

Glad this place opened back up near my office. Salad was way more affordable than the other options in FiDi and of comparable quality. Also very fast.

I ordered the Huevos Rancheros for b'fast today. That was a weird one. Came with side of "house potatoes" (what I call it) cooked with red peppers & onions. The beans, cheese & eggs were served on a pita bread. A pita bread??? Potatoes were already cold since they took it off heat too early (and I just took it upstairs). The pita was totally weird. They should call it something else because aside from the 2 fried eggs, it's not "Huevos Rancheros" as one would typically get. Oh, they also forgot the avocado.Weird meal aside, the service was quite good and the staff was friendly. Lots of smiles.

This location of Focaccia has reopened as of last week! They offer custom sandwiches, custom salads, and hot entrees during weekday lunch hours. Reasonably priced for basic selections. I will return.

Wonderful catering for our event. Edith and Eddie were outstanding. Thank you!

A bit disappointed with the sandwich. I got the crispy chicken sandwich after seeing the oral surgeon next door. I ordered it with all the toppings on wheat bread and took it to go. When I got home (about 10 mins) the sandwich was super soggy and no longer crispy. The sauce they put on it also was not good. Would not recommend.

When I say DELICIOUS, I mean DELICIOUS!!!! When I say FANTASTIC, I mean FANTASTIC!!!! Within the past two months, I've been privileged to utilize the catering services of FOCACCIA for two particularly special occasions... And both times, DANIEL, one of their spectacular team members, DELIVERED!!!!! AND when I say DELIVERED, I mean he DELIVERED!!!!! Our food selections were well prepared, packaged, truly tasty and dropped off on time!!!!! WHAT A TREAT!!!!!!!! Thank you DANIEL and the entire FOCACCIA TEAM FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO!!!!!! I am definitely a satisfied customer!!!!!!!! Until the next time... Dianne Doss

I think we can all agree that service everywhere has gotten substantially terrible, annoying, and confusing. Not at alcove. It's really a breath of fresh air to go somewhere and have a restaurant get it right during a pandemic.

Focaccia has not only fantastic food, their ownership is genuine and committed to the community. Their owner went out of their way to donate food to UCSF during the COVID-19 crisis, but this isn't just a review about their generosity. Their sandwiches had fresh ingredients and felt much more healthy than most sandwiches. People wanted more and more! Perfect lunch food or for a catering event.
