We had the best waiter his name was Saul. He was very informative on how the food was cooked or braised and which wine was best or drink with your entree. He was constantly feeling our glasses and made sure didn't run out of anything or do without. Right down to our delectable dessert 🍨

Best seafood I have had in years. Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Had oysters, swordfish, fish and chips and lobster for our group and it was all the best! Fast service, magnificent bread, million dollar view. Love this place.

I was initially ready to give this place a solid 5 stars — the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the ambience was spot-on: cozy, tasteful, and relaxing. A really great setting for a night out.
Unfortunately, the experience was completely soured by the Jorge the servers aggressive approach to tipping with overt pressure when the bill came, it felt less like a suggestion and more like a demand. It made what should have been a pleasant evening uncomfortable and awkward.
I absolutely believe in tipping for good service, but it should never feel forced or expected to the point where it overshadows the entire experience. For that reason, I’m leaving just 1 star. A great restaurant should value the guest experience from start to finish — not just until the check arrives.

Based on my initial Fog Harbor Fish House experience, I decided to patronize said venue post Fleet Week activities today for dinner. At first glance, seating at the bar was not to be COMFORTABLY had for our party of 3, but we awkwardly improvised. Mixologist Tony remained mindful and cognizant of our dilemma, and immediately rectified it as bar patrons took leave. The venue was packed and adequately staffed yet Tony's customer service orientation clearly was above the norm and quite frankly, exemplary. While engaging with customers and patrons is a critical component of the hospitality industry, Tony's sincere affable manner convincingly ensured customers of his desire to provide them with a highly positive experience. I inquired as to certain menu items since I was undecided, and his responses were substantive and on point. As such, I thoroughly enjoyed my dirty martini, savory and dessert menu items. Chalk up another superlative Fog Harbor Fish House experience!! NOTEWORTHY: This venue remains consistently/perpetually packed with customers which speaks to its appeal and calibre on multiple levels: Exemplary management, menu / quality execution thereof, calibre of staff and customer service orientation!

maybe this is tourist-y of me to say, but this is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in san francisco. it’s nice, romantic, and right on the famous pier 39.
it’s been around for awhile, but that doesn’t mean it’s dirty. the inside is nice and ornate? you can tell it’s somewhat fancy. the service is always absolutely excellent, too, even once when i dined alone.
they don’t miss. all of the food is top-notch, you could order anything on the menu and it’s guaranteed great. i am a huge seafood fan, so i try something different every time i’m in town. my favorite so far was the alaskan haddock that was encrusted in pistachios.
definitely go here for some high-end seafood next time you’re in SF.

Fog Harbor is really was recommended by our friends, we stop for dinner I’ve got calamari which taste very plain batter that they used for calamari is not seasoned at all. It would be great if they taste good before sending out or seasoned batter well. I’ve got mixed seafood for entree.. it’s okay… it could be better! Like I have mentioned we stopped by during dinner time and it’s so packed you need to book your reservation ahead of time so you won’t like that long, also considering it’s packed it’s so noisy you need to speak
Louder coz you cannot hear each other. Maybe if you considering this restaurant while you’re on SF check out if it’s busy or not if you would like little quiet place to eat.
Service was very good.
