maybe this is tourist-y of me to say, but this is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in san francisco. it’s nice, romantic, and right on the famous pier 39.
it’s been around for awhile, but that doesn’t mean it’s dirty. the inside is nice and ornate? you can tell it’s somewhat fancy. the service is always absolutely excellent, too, even once when i dined alone.
they don’t miss. all of the food is top-notch, you could order anything on the menu and it’s guaranteed great. i am a huge seafood fan, so i try something different every time i’m in town. my favorite so far was the alaskan haddock that was encrusted in pistachios.
definitely go here for some high-end seafood next time you’re in SF.

Fog Harbor is really was recommended by our friends, we stop for dinner I’ve got calamari which taste very plain batter that they used for calamari is not seasoned at all. It would be great if they taste good before sending out or seasoned batter well. I’ve got mixed seafood for entree.. it’s okay… it could be better! Like I have mentioned we stopped by during dinner time and it’s so packed you need to book your reservation ahead of time so you won’t like that long, also considering it’s packed it’s so noisy you need to speak
Louder coz you cannot hear each other. Maybe if you considering this restaurant while you’re on SF check out if it’s busy or not if you would like little quiet place to eat.
Service was very good.

Do make a reservation for dinner as it’s full at night. Ordered the clam chowder and it’s really fresh and tasty, but I would recommend not getting the bread bowl as the bread turns really hard after.
We also got a seafood spaghetti and calamari and kids fish and chips and our fav was the spaghetti as the portion was huge and seafood was fresh.
Ambience is good and price is okay for US standards.

I was with my 11 year old daughter. Despite the availability of tables with a sea view, PN placed us in a children's section far from the best tables. Thanks for the experience!

Right on the water with gorgeous views and fantastic food. I went for classics: crab cakes and some clam chowder. Both were perfectly flavored and presented.

Pasta was extremely overcooked! Meant to be spaghetti with clams and tasted only like garlic over a weird "soup" the other pasta was again extremely overcooked and flavour wasn't great either.
The waiter was super nice and very attentive and the view to the pier was great but food wasn't.
