I ordered two pounds of Ramps. The ramps' bulbs have turned brown and some start getting filmy. Also a few leaves already are turning yellow.
I contacted the store, providing photos(taken shortly after the package arrived), was told "We sell it to restaurants all the time. They are not bad and this is very normal." I disagree. I had fresher ramps before.
We had an amazing experience purchasing Manila clams! Best price in the Bay Area. We ordered online the night before for pick up, and Jeffery was easy to correspond with in customer service, allowing us to pick up our clams a little earlier than usual!
Ordered twice from them. The first time the fish was bad as it was put into a plastic bag and then left to for 8 hours as it was delivered, so when I received the fish in Palo Alto the fish had a distinctively fishy and putrid smell. The second time they completely messed up my order. First I explicitly asked them to wrap my fish in paper before putting into the plastic bag to atleast limit moisture and reduce bacteria growth over the delivery process so my fish isn't as smelly. They completely ignored my simple request. Got my fish at 5 PM, was sent out for delivery at 9 AM, so over the 8 hours the fish and products I got became insanely smelly. Not only this, but they forgot to put into my shipment 3 items. So I am missing 3 items but paid for it. What is this.... Come on man.
I consistently order almost all my seafood from Four Star Seafood and Provisions. The freshness absolutely comes through in the taste, texture, and appearance of the seafood. It’s always been top quality in my experience. Plus, I can have an order dropped at my doorstep — and I live 30 miles from San Francisco. It’s easy to place a big order and freeze whatever I won’t use in the first two days. Sometimes I add pantry items like olives or desserts to the delivery order.
Best Scallops Period !!
Outstanding service, the quality was excellent, fresh and delicious.
Discovered them at the Ferry Building Farmers Market. We are no longer in SF and tried local delivery to the peninsula (their fish is that good). Couldn’t be happier with delivery service and quality. Also very helpful when you call them. Will definitely order again!
First came across Four Star via a farmers' market visit, where I bought some gorgeous shrimp and MEATY dungeness crab. Have been buying from their warehouse since the pandemic started once I found out they also sell online for pickup.Usually pick up from Ebony, who is a sweetheart! Ebony, Jeff, and Cain are super helpful and you can tell that everyone enjoys working there. They are willing to help you find the exact item you need, even if you didn't pre-order ahead.Seafood is fresh and they have unique, seasonal items too. Happy we have access to these otherwise restaurant-grade ingredients. They sell excellent pantry items as well!
We love four star seafood! The quality and selection is amazing. Ebony the office manager is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, I've never had so much fun picking up fish before! We'll never buy fish anywhere else
Very expensive. I bought mackerel 6oz for 25$ then there is handling fees even if you pick it up. Not going to order again. Found cheaper alternativesUpdate : Because the picture in your website is deceiving. You put pictures of a whole mackerel rather than a portion. I failed to see it was 6oz each. I don't care sushi grade or not. Do you think most people are making sushi in their homes?

This location does not sell to the public. You have to go 24th st.
I purchased the cioppino kit and it was great. Recipe was clear and it came with everything I needed to make an amazing dinner. Thank you

Chief Dr Lucky is so good at explaining what is going on inside your body and how to help stop the problem. I am totally cured from Hepatitis B, I would highly recommend him.
