The employees are friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere, although you don’t see the ocean. The Food is delicious. Never have I ever eaten such good fish and chips.

My go to. Constantly delish for the past 30 years.
Umm. Not bad. Crab was priced good. Gotta good amount for $25. The chowder kinda made me queasy. Decent atmosphere. Not the worst place but I’ve had better

Stopped in for a quick bite and got a very good, reasonably priced, fried fish sandwich with garlic fries.

We arrived around 12pm and were the first order. We both had the clam chowder in bread. It was delicious, especially the bread. We asked for two tap waters, they came cold and we could refill. The food was ready in a minute and the service was great. Would recommend

Good atmosphere and absolutely delicious food.
Swooped in for a bite to eat, about 11:30 or so on 3 July and while everything else was busy this place was not. For this reason I thought hey no wait don’t need to worry about a place to sit Ordered the famous fish sandwich basket with garlic fries. The order took awhile to be cooked, and after finally getting my food I go sit down and ate a fry. There was over powering smell and taste of garlic that they were very off putting. The sandwich itself was ok, served on a bed of coleslaw which I found inviting and refreshing. I just wouldn’t have the garlic fry’s again. Maybe this is a trend in San Francisco but it’s not my thing. They also had a 40 clove of garlic chicken dish that I just can’t imagine how pungent that would be…

This place is simply the best, I’ve going to this place for a long time and it never disappoints, the menu changed a little bit after Covid, but the food still good.
I’ve made the mistake a couple of times to go to other places, like the place of the famous movie bubba gump and the food was nasty and overpriced.
We got the Dungeness Fried Crab and the beignets. The garlic sauce they put on the crab was WAY too salty. For it being $25 and not that large of a portion at all, I would say to skip it…
The beignets tasted great and you definitely have to put the cream they give you on it.
Morning, have a coffee and some beignets , great deal actually and fits perfectly any time of the day.
Oh and their soup ! I’ll stay with the soup forever (not huge fan of the bread, but it worked)

We stayed for the playful decor, and left wondering what could have been. Didn’t try the clam chowder (which is apparently the star of the show) , but we did order sandwiches only to find ourselves face-to-face with greasy patties that leaned more on the bland side. The garlic fries were more “fries” than “garlic”. Staff seemed friendly, but it’s a self-serve situation, so not much interaction there. The positive thing about the place was the decor. Maybe next time we’ll give the chowder a shot, but for now we’ll just say: come for the ambiance, but maybe stick to what they’re known for!

Delicious!! I got the ½ Dungeness crab, and it was juicy, flavorful, just wonderful. And the garlic bagna calda is always amazing.
