Went here for my second wedding anniversary! The food and staff were incredible! They gave us a complementary glass of wine to go along with dinner to celebrate the occasion. The place is a little bit crowded and I do recomend getting a reservation but they treat all their guests with the best service and experience they can provide. Thank you Frascati for making my anniversary so special.

This is a neighborhood restaurant and it clearly is serving the neighborhood quite well. It's also clear that as a legacy business it pretty much wants to be a neighborhood place because with just a few changes this restaurant could easily become a destination hot spot; not that it needs or would be happy to be one. The driving force here is not just the excellent service, a well curated wine list, but also the fantastic flavor profile Frascati has developed. For instance, the sun dried tomato-caper infused olive oil that comes with the Acme bread is simply addictive. The problem is that the bread is pre-cut well in advance and by the time it's served is dried out and detracts from an otherwise exquisite experience. The Fresh Tagliatelle "Amatriciana" is likely the best you will ever have as the sauce is gorgeously balanced with just the right amount of spice. The problem is that it is over-sauced allowing the al dente pasta to continue cooking well past al dente. And so it goes - stratospheric heights within reach only to have execution stumbles get in the way. Am I being petty? Likely so, Frascati is doing quite well where it is; it's just that deep down you know that it could be far greater.
I've been going here for years. The food and hospitality are great. Hyde Street on Friday night was really humming!
Delightful service - attentive without being intrusive. Wait person recommended Joseph Swan Pinot - excellent match with the delicious duck breast. Mushroom risotto a winner.
Wonderful amazing gem. Fantastic service and the pasta and Brussels sprouts were delicious. Can't say enough good things about my experience at Frascati!
Thank you for a great night

The food and service were outstanding. The only drawback is the lack of parking or we would eat here regularly.
There was a group of 6 of us. We enjoyed the food overall. Appetizers were good and very shareable. I asked to out in the order for appetizers and then order the main course. I was told that it is not possible, and because there were other large parties, we need to order everything at once. Which was fine, but I asked not to put in an order for the main course until we finis with the appetizers. As we were finishing appetizers, the dishes were being cleared, and the main course was served immediately. I ordered pasta, and by the time I got it, it was clumpy and warm, and I did ask for it to be redone. Once it was redone, it was delicious. My friend, although did not send hers back, but did mention to me afterwards that hers was clumpy as well. That means that it was made, and it was sitting under the warmer. All the desserts that we ordered from homemade ice cream to Panna cotta and tiramisu were delicious. The wine that we ordered was excellent and overall, we enjoyed our time. If it were not for a couple of them trace that were clumpy and warm, I would say that our experience was one that would bring us back to this family owned and very cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant.
John and Rebecca are fabulous hosts and run a great neighborhood restaurant. The classic fettuccine bolognese is one of the best in SF, which is saying a lot. Don't miss Rebecca's black and white bread pudding for dessert!

John and Rebecca make this local restaurant feel like you are a guest having a delicious meal in their home. So gracious and welcoming always, the food and service is phenomenal.
Went here for New Year's Eve dinner. BF, who is very particular about restaurants, l9vdd the place. I went here a couple times with my late partner years ago. Was nice to revisit the pace after 15 years.
We've dined many times at Frascati, and it is always a wonderful experience: John and Rebecca are warm, charming, knowledgeable hosts, friends really; the staff is knowledgeable, professional and friendly; and the food is superb from starters through dessert (and don't forget to head home with a pint of Rebecca's house-made ice cream).
Our favorite! Food is getting more special every year! Lovely owners Jon & Rebecca & their Fabio always make sure we have everything we need for a special celebration. Charming, Romantic place! We come every year!
