I have to say, I hate to give bad reviews however this place did leave a bad taste in my mouth. Working near by I ordered on line and was notified that my order was ready. Upon walking in, the place was empty and I gave my name to the gentlemen behind the counter.
He looked at me like I was crazy and asked my name. He then looked at his orders and told me that it would be ready in about two minutes. He then proceeded to put my slice into the oven and went into the back to get a salad together. I had ordered a pink lemonade and they didn't have it and I settled for a fruit gatorade. Truly not impressed and will not be ordering from this establishment again. It's a shame cause the slice was actually ok.

Cody's Castro District Pizza Sampler, FIRST PEP SLICE:

A better than average pizza by the slice (but still kind of average). NY STYLE; Crust is light and airy, and I would say the most prominent part of the taste, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni didnt have anything special about them. All in all, tastes more fresh than like sbarros or something.

People serving seemed absent minded, and indoor area, while plenty of space, is too bright.

I love this place! The staff is so nice, there are video games everywhere, and huge TV's, and even if our order took a long time, it was worth it! (We just had a big order) Overall, 10/10

Came in to get pizza traveling to Ohio and left with over $100 playing trivia. If you’re in the area stop in on Tuesday and Wednesday for trivia night. $20, for every game you win. Also their pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had. I recommend the chicken bacon ranch.

Pesto and tomato pizza was good but should have been better. It was the only vegetarian kind available and think they just forgot to compensate for the lack of meat with a bit of salt.

This is absolutely the best pizza in Castro! Grab that chicken, ranch, green onion slice. Make sure to meet Ian the owner. Nicest guy. He actually makes the pizza and works the counter to serve you.

The crispy crust reminds me of some of the best thin-crusts I’ve had in Italy. Flavors range from traditional classics to new spins, and portions are just right to satisfy that hunger. I’ll be back for more when my tastebuds crave another slice of pie! I couldn’t wait to take a bite the aroma was so good!

Went to get a slice of pizza and wash my hands in the bathroom. There was no soap. Asked for some soap and the guy said they don’t have any soap. I asked him how he washes his hands after using the bathroom and he said he doesn’t. Don’t eat here, unless you are looking for an easy way to get E. coli and Salmonella…

Response to owner:
I actually managed to communicate with him sufficiently to ask if he could refill the dispensary, he said no, I then asked if there were other places I could wash my hand, he proceeded to point to the empty soap dispensers behind the cash registry and in the kitchen, saying he doesn’t have soap in those either. And while he might live a block away, other employees do not, neither do your guests. You are required to provide soap in all of those dispensers according to California Health and Safety Code, Division 104, Part 7, Chapter 3, Article 4 - Handwashing.

So how about you start with a response to how you’ll address the deeply concerning hygienic issues in your restaurant before giving me some bs answer on the employee living near by?
