It’s a hole in the wall deli. My favorite sandwich spot in SF. I love their roast beef sandwich. Always a treat. Grab a sandwich and post up at Washington park.

I have been going to Freddie Sandwiches for about 20 years now. There sandwiches are the best for the price. Even though the price is not low but I would not complain about it when everything is getting so bad and expensive in the city.

Just ordered from here for lunch today. Saw that they offered great sandwiches and at a great price so I thought why not! I ordered an egg salad sandwich but unfortunately more than half of the sandwich fell apart upon my first bite. Super disappointing and kind of killed the mood. Thankfully it was still a pretty good sandwich but I had to eat half of it like a salad because it kept falling apart unfortunately. I don't know if I would order from here again..

I ordered a small corned beef sandwich. I was expecting something like a six inch sub. instead, what I received was closer to a divided foot long. I can eat a lot, but one half of the sandwich was enough to fill me up. Moreover, the sandwich itself was so delicious that I saved half for later so I could really focus on the flavor. The food is scrumptious and at a very reasonable price. This is easily one of the best lunch spots in San Francisco and North Beach.

There was a mandatory 10% tip for my online order, then I was prompted to tip again (defaulting at 20%) which would have compounded with the mandatory tip. This is ridiculous so I chose 0% for this, then they messed up my order which felt retaliatory since the receipt stapled to my bag very clearly showed the tip amount (though not the total order). Won’t be going back. Food is decent.

After a gorgeous hike to Marshall's Beach, we dropped in to this eatery. I popped for a Roast turkey sando; choice of pickles, tomato, onions, mayo, mustard, soft roll, crunch roll. Just $11.95, for the money, it was generous and fairly priced. Tasty roast turkey meat, fresh tomatoes, fresh lettuce, fresh soft roll. Customer service: pleasant.

The owner may have changed but the sandwich was awesome and made just the way it was 30-20-20 years ago. Italian combo-get the large, enough for 2 meals or 2 people- on sourdough with the works! Prices have gone up but hey, everyone has raised their prices everywhere.
