Our party of four came on a Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. Neighborhood parking is a bit challenging due to the popularity of the area with all the businesses there, but we found a 2 hr. spot (enforced until 9pm) after a couple loops. We ordered the house sampler plate, shish kabob, beet salad, the zahara bil tahini (cauliflower), halloumi, chicken shawarma, and for dessert, we had kanafeh, qatayef, halawa o buza. Everything, including the complimentary Palestinian dips with pita chips, was absolutely delicious- fresh and beautifully presented. It was hard to pick a favorite but I really liked the cauliflower! Two members of my party ordered a mocktail called Cinderella, and they were raving about it. The food was so good that we forgot to take pictures; we were too excited. I did remember while we were waiting for dessert, so there is one dessert picture in this review.
Our server, Lina, was attentive and very kind, and the other servers and staff were also very nice, professional, and polite. It was obvious that the staff wanted us to have a wonderful evening and we truly did. It is a very welcoming restaurant with lovely decor, excellent food and nice people. We can’t wait to come back and try more items!
So yummy! Tons of vegan options.
lovely spot for freshly made Middle Eatern dishes. We were impressed with every dish and Lebanese beer!
I don’t know what happened. I’ve had multiple amazing experiences here but today I had the one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had ever. I don’t think it’s on the server I think it’s the fact she’s probably overworked.
They were out of the shaksuka. So I asked are you out of eggs, after all there’s still an egg shortage. And she was immediately defensive over it. I was flustered and overwhelmed and had no clue what I wanted.
I ordered some omelette that for some
Reason had nothing that was listed on the menu, it was bland and overcooked. I didn’t touch it. She didn’t ask if anything was wrong, or if it was ok. Nothing. I had maybe one bite. I was also never asked if I wanted a drink or something else to eat. (I did.). I wasn’t expecting them to remove it from the bill I just wanted her to ask me if I thought it was ok. I felt like I was doing something wrong. We still tipped. I don’t like causing trouble but I’m very disappointed in the service but also my meal. My husbands food was fine.
It's okay, there are better ones in sf.
I rarely leave restaurant reviews because they are so subjective but this place is outstanding. Food, service, atmosphere all top notch in The Mission. We come to the Mission for burritos and will be coming back for Freekeh!
Went here with a friend and we split a ton of dishes! Super cute place to eat out with some tables in the back outside surrounded by cute lights. It was good but I’ve had better Mediterranean food at better prices elsewhere- this place is pricey for pretty small portions so I’d recommend getting more dishes and splitting with friends. They gave a very generous amount of pita bread! My friend’s favorite dish was the falafel wraps and mine was probably the roasted cauliflower. The beet salad was what you’d expect- it was good but nothing more than the sum of its parts. The salmon skewer had perfectly cooked salmon but I think it was missing some seasoning… admittedly, I didn’t use the yogurt so that probably would’ve helped because it’s very plain without it. Definitely some salt on the salmon would’ve been nice.
Everything we ordered was delicious, and they have a wide variety of hearty vegan options. If the restaurant reads this, one suggestion would be to upgrade the heaters on the back patio as they aren't quite warm enough.
Walked in for brunch today on a whim and so glad we did. Literally every item we got was fantastic - highly recommend!
Absolutely delicious!!!! It was very hard to find parking near the spot.
I ordered the Shish taook and my date ordered the kofta. Both of our meals were delicious, juicy, flavorful! We also got the baba ganouch, very good and smoky.
I recommend this place whole heartedly!

This Palestinian-inspired cuisine stands out as a fresh and unique gem among the vibrant food scene of Mission/SOMA area.
The service was warm and shines as one of the most authentic parts of the dining experience — it almost felt like eating at someone’s Middle Eastern Uncle’s home. We were offered complimentary chips and a trio of dips, as well as a post-meal cup of light Mediterranean tea. Talk about an authentic experience!
At the recommendation of our waiter, we ordered the Zahara Bil Tahini (warm cauliflower), Kufta, and Rolled Chicken Shwarma (this was more than enough food for two grown men).
A great sign of a good meal is when we can’t decide which dish was the favorite — everything was just that good. If I had to choose one, I’d probably say the kufta stole the show, but the Zahara Bil Tahini and Chicken Shwarma were close seconds. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented, culminating in a 10/10 dining experience.
For those curious, freekeh is durum wheat grain prepared as a side dish in Palestinian cuisine (somewhat similar to rice) with a hearty, smoky flavor. We enjoyed trying the restaurant’s namesake, but it definitely performed as supporting actress to the incredibly flavorful meats and warm tapas that accompanied it.
Overall, we were excited to try Palestinian food here in SF, and will definitely be back again soon. Shukran!

Atmosphere is great and so was the salad and the appetizer. The main dishes including kebab…dry and flavorless. Whether the meat wasn’t cooked/seasoned properly, or they simply re-heated a premade dish, but logic says a chunk of meat that thick shouldn’t come out that fast if it was freshly grilled. It was dry, hard to chew, and lacked any seasoning other than being charred. All in all for a meal that will run nearly 50 bucks a person this place JUST ok and there are far better restaurants around the corner.
