Our party of four came on a Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. Neighborhood parking is a bit challenging due to the popularity of the area with all the businesses there, but we found a 2 hr. spot (enforced until 9pm) after a couple loops. We ordered the house sampler plate, shish kabob, beet salad, the zahara bil tahini (cauliflower), halloumi, chicken shawarma, and for dessert, we had kanafeh, qatayef, halawa o buza. I don’t know what happened. I’ve had multiple amazing experiences here but today I had the one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had ever. I don’t think it’s on the server I think it’s the fact she’s probably overworked.

They were out of the shaksuka. So I asked are you out of eggs, after all there’s still an egg shortage. And she was immediately defensive over it. I was flustered and overwhelmed and had no clue what I wanted.

I rarely leave restaurant reviews because they are so subjective but this place is outstanding. Food, service, atmosphere all top notch in The Mission. We come to the Mission for burritos and will be coming back for Freekeh!
