No more burekas!!! No more rugelach, no more gaviniot. This was the only real Israeli bakery and now they just sell pizza. Never been so disappointed as I was when I went back after they renovated. Any reviews before November are not applicable.

The place was closed, we came there to have kosher meal , nobody mentioned it in the website, the neighborhood is full with homeless, recent reviews from last year.............

Frena did the catering for our baby naming and were just great! The food was tasty, unique and fresh, and they did a great effort to be available early on Sunday morning. These guys are just the best!

I’m very thankful that the Bay Area is the home to Frena Bakery. The food is not only authentic, it provides nourishment for the body AND the soul! I'm especially grateful for their outstanding service. Last Friday, there was a mixup in my Ubereats order. I was distressed because it was late Friday afternoon, and the Bakery was about to close. I called Frena and they quickly put things together. In no time, I had the freshly baked Pita Za'atar and salads! I’m very appreciative to the administrator and Yaniv as they give their full attention to understand their customers, thus providing excellent service to their clients . . . not to mention that Frena Bakery provides a wonderfully distinct culinary experience that no other Bay Area bakery is able to replicate. כל הכבוד!‎

Delicious food and really nice owner (?). The pizza with feta and olives was amazing. The sambusak was made-to-order: mushrooms, cheese, onions, and zaatar and it was very yummy. Even the hot chocolate was excellent. The only downside is the neighborhood. The food is worth the detour, though.

Every pastry I tried was a 10/10! Great spot for vegans :)

Really excellent Israeli food, as good as on the streets of Tel Aviv. Wide selection of bourekas and fresh pita bread. The rougelach are a must. Also have an assortment of Pereg spices for sale.

Had their vegan jelly filled donuts. It was fluffy and soft more like a fluffy biscuit then a actual donut but delicious and not so sweet. Location is kind of sketchy but staff are friendly.

First time trying the pasties here. Everything was delicious but expect to wait in line. Well worth it though.

The Satan was very nice. I am trying their recommendations. I have never had this type of food. Hope it is good. The first is Tuna in a pita sandwich. A bit of spice, but very nice. The pickles are different. Overall very pleased. Nothing is overpowering. Good taste.

It was okey, maybe less choices left by the noon. Took a tuna/egg sandwich for 14$ which was pretty good.

We learned about Frena on the Ear Hustle podcast and visited while on a trip to San Francisco. Amazing pastries! Highly recommend!
