Relaxing patio and close to accessibility to ? train and without going so far from the mission district and Valencia Street

Frisco Flavor is easy to miss, if you're in a hurry. So glad to have tried some items. I was the only guest inside, dining. I did not mind. I think the place fills up during lunch hours.

I ordered a Salvadoran Tamale. Wrapped neatly in a banana leaf. Piping hot, and steaming. Big chunks of chicken in the tamale, cooked amazingly. I also ordered more. A bean & cheese pupusa ( lacking in flavor, but very filling) and a Tilapia Taco.

I love fish tacos! I try them whenever they are on any menu. This one was Salvadoran style. Served with sliced avocado, sautéed peppers, and black beans. It was sizable. Lots of fish meat. Outstanding!

They serve breakfast items. Interested to come back one morning soon to try pancakes. A few types of agua fresca are offered. Passion fruit and jamaica were available. Horchata as well. My fave!

The price points are average, not low. I liked the good energy coming from the staff members. My server, Byron was quite considerate. I always appreciate congeniality. Can’t wait to return. Thanks a bunch.

Kid-friendliness: This place has ample seating and a comfortable atmosphere, kids will like.

I'm happy to see another new restaurant in the Mission District that is everything Latino culture and cuisine! It's what makes this neighborhood food famous, and Frisco Flavor holds up.
It's certainly a convenient, but busy location next to 24th Mission BART, so it could be easily missed. The main dining area is in the back away from the windows so it was their vibrant signage that first lured me in.
I had two tamales which were huge! The Oaxacan with chicken and mole was my favorite. The mole was not overly sweet, but earthy; Just the way I like it. The tamales are packed full of tender chicken and/or vegetables, then wrapped in banana leaves! Even the rice and beans were very delicious. They have an assortment of Mexican and El Salvadorian beverages as well.

The waitstaff is very friendly and welcoming. I was there on a rainy day and the back room was freezing, which is my only issue. But I blame PG&E for hurting businesses with their price hikes and understand a lot of places are trying to conserve as much as possible. I'm looking forward to my next meal there, and hope it's a warm day to enjoy the patio area!
