Our favorite fried chicken and fried fish takeout place. Their sides are great, specifically the collard greens, the garlic noodles and the rice and beans. The mac-and-cheese is not bad either. I think their fried fish is even better than their fried chickenTHIS PLACE IS NOW CLOSED. SO SO SAD :( Replaced by a Gumbo place.
Bought a Groupon and took a $20 cab ride to meet a friend for lunch only to get there to a closed restaurant (Google Maps said it was open). I no longer want the Groupon and I'm not going to recommend this place to anyone. If you're in the area maybe you want to gamble with their unprofessional business practices.
Great seasoning. Just had to wait. Bit like a real kitchen.
I brought 12 friends here the other day. Boy. I am embarrassed. If nothing else for the bad customer service. They charged me $3 extra dollars for a dried breast. The mac and cheese is whack. Just all around a waste and I paid almost $30 for it. Sorry for my friends. These people actually wanted to charge me a $1 for a plastic cup!! A can of soda was $3. All round bad experience. I came there deep. We spent about $250 just on us. Sucked.
The food here was really damn good! Outstanding job, real soul food spot.
Great Burger with Everything. Fried chicken and fried oysters were perfect and fresh. Side of Garlic noodles and some french fries to balance the meal. Delicious cornbread for dessert!
I ordered a fried chicken meal was very good compliments to the chef
Each order is fried to order… taking 20m for take out.Well worth the wait. The catfish as much as I never eat due to the bottom dweller taste, was very good without that fishy bottom taste. Chicken I am still a jolybee fan … sorry.Good quality, fried chicken gives me the bad feeling after, but not here. Even when it’s made from canola oil not like peanut oil in most southern fried places.
I am from Houston Tx and was visiting the city of San Francisco and wanted to try there Oxtails dinner and OMG it was awesome. It was better than our Just Oxtails.

The food is good but the prices is outrageous & they charges six dollars for a large cup of Kool-Aid Then five dollars for a medium side cup of Kool-Aid when kool-Aid is only 26 cent a pack at the store then they Customer service is horrible the woman in there always have a attitude or always text on they phone when dealing with a customer & they never have no hair nets over they hair i just feel like it’s always a black owner that get over on they Community
Why the fuq they put sugar in greens ? and so much salt on wings otherwise great food
A gem that everyone needs to try. Being from south Louisiana, it was great to find Actual soul food, not what some random person calls it. Sat outside and had the smothered pork chops. Hurt myself eating so I didn't waste any food. Staff is awesome and very knowledgeable
Yes! Those chicken n’ waffles were straight smackin’. Got the 2 pc meal with a wing and a breast and it was a lot of good, juicy, crisp fried chicken with a fluffy soft waffle to compliment. You will not regret this decision show this folks some love
Used to be coo now they expensive & wack !!! How do a lil thing of ranch cost one dollar ?? on top of that they stingy w/ the hot sauce , they give you one little pack for a 10 pc smh and then my lemon pepper chicken was over cooked & Mac n cheese watery 25 dollars for a 10 pc & fries OR Mac n cheese NOT BOTH & you get one side only & then 20 dollars for a 5pc and fries or the watery Mac and cheese and a can soda what a rip !!! If you had a plate from a candy house or bought food from the projects you would probably say there isn’t much of a difference between the two !! BUT They do have other sides but these are by far the worst . . .
